Algos the drone boat

Algos is a probably well-known droneboat. As we know, most drone boats have an extra low slot. I am kind of disturbed that Algos does not. Yes, it is a destroyer and, yes it has 6 high slots, but still, it is a drone boat, which most players would expect to have an "extra" low slot. I request support.

Let's go through a checklist
[x] Is a member of the FDU
[x] Flies drone boats
[x] Drone boats are good for the FW plex mechanics (drop drones and afk)
[x] Literally wants more stabs/dps on the algos
[x] Literally asking for a straight up buff to gallente ships

Yeah... nah.

Post with your NPC alt main and not your main main alt!

In my dark room at night the screen is the only light I see. So if I accidentally turn to the sun in the system I am, I'm dazzled.
The suns are too bright, I request support.
And yeah, the Algos should be given another low slot AND at least two additional turrets, for the catalyst has 8!

Give it a Covops Cloak and Bomb launcher as well, while you are at it.

Nerf the Algos, it has too many low slots. Corax, its missile equivalent, only has 2 low slots. Remove a low slot from the Algos.

I fly mostly drone boats. I don't really think the Algos is in a spot where it needs a buff.

There is a difference there, Algos is a droneboat, not missile boat! Plus, that's why Caldari ships are junk.

why would it have an extra low slot
whats so special about drones that they need an extra low compared to other weapons

tbf this is actually a valid complaint
space is really bright sometimes i cant even look at parts of it because it blocks out the ui and i cant see a damn thing

Gallente ships has more low slots cause they are usually armor tanked, not because they are drone boats. Check amarr ships - same picture.

Algos is in a good place right now. When you look at how the ship performs you'll find that it is very versatile and perhaps the most capable of any destroyer. This is largely due to the 6-3-3 slot layout. 3 slots is a majical number for midslots, as this makes it a capable EWAR platform. Allowing for scram, web, prop - or point, web, prop. As well as engineering fits like cap booster, dual rep and neut. On the contrary to this the 8-2-3 slot layout on a catalyst can be quite limiting. It is this lack of versatility of Catalysts slot layout which makes it a "one trick pony".

IMO moving the Algos from 6-3-3 to 6-2-4 would be a bad idea. As this would change the ship from being a well rounded versatile platform to being a eHP/DPS monster which lacks versatility (*cough* Coercer *cough*). The ships versatility is what makes it unique. It's the Trisan of the destroyer world, and IMO, should remain so.
