Missions & Complexes

I tried a garmur for a burner mission, but lost it. I didn't even scratch his shields. I used the right missiles and also overheated them.
I was thinking it was because he was going so fast. I didn't fit a web, was that why? Was my ship of choice poor..? It seems it gives bonuses to warp scrambler and warp disrupter that don't help in this mission. My next ship of choice is using a wolf or a jag, over even a dramiel. Any thoughts about approaching these missions better..?

note with the forum switch over (tomorrow?) these links probably won't work after that. Both threads should be pretty easy to find in the missions forums though.

going to need to start with which burner mission it was, and what your fit is. The garmur is mainly useful for the team burner missions, where it can kite and DPS from range, polarized rockets are the main fit.

Garmur might work for some of the pirate burners, but I've never actually tried it there. Going to need a pretty big tank for most of those, and probably some webs and/or painters to apply damage.

You definitely should read the aforementioned threads. Burners are not something you can jump into with whatever blingy ship you think might work. They require extremely specific ships/fits to clear, and are so difficult that most require their own unique ship/fit.

sounds like you try to use a ship for all burner.
