new player, need help

hey there,

so i decided to pick up eve on steam, and made a character and am following the tutorials.

i've been going through the missions aura gives you, but im stuck on part 6 of "rebirth". after the tutorial blew up my ship, they gave me a starter package and aura tells me to go do some agent missions. so i do all the steps and go to the agent but aura is stuck on "dock at the agents station" and will not go past this point, even tho i already did several missions for said agent.

anything i can do here?

i tried resetting to checkpoint, but it keeps me at this mission so i can't complete it.

If it is stuck on the tutorial you may need to file a petition or relog. If prior CCP is quick to fix tutorial issues if later sometimes its a client side error. Also it could be the incorrect station.

my issue is the mission description doesn't list a required station, and im not sure if there was a specific agent it wanted me to go to since i logged between missions. is there no way to reset to an earlier mission in the chain or something?

I wonder if Aura is still giving advice after the blowup... Did you already do career agent missions at the station Aura suggested?
Edit: Those 5 career agents for the Royal Amarr Institute are in Pasha

It should show you the station in the mission. If it does not try right clicking on the agent and selecting "set destination" ( or something like that I'm not currently in game to check ).

thank you so much, the mission i was on did not say which station, but as soon as i docked at the school it progressed to the next phase.

It is extremely rare that the information that you need to finish the mission is not readily available. Most problems in Eve can be solved by right-clicking. Play around with the right-click menu and get used to using it. Right-click then show info can get you pretty far.

You should also get used to connecting through the show info UI to other show info UIs. Most mission giving NPCs stay in one location or at the very least are in one location for the duration of a specific mission. So for most mission giving NPCs you can link to their home station through their show info UI.

Another example would be that if you do a show info on another player you can link their corp by clicking on the corp icon at the top of their show info UI and then link to that corp's Alliance by doing the same again. Also within the show info UI many items have an "i" in a circle and you can get more information by clicking on that.
