I had this idea.... I checked out this article where a guy was talking about alpha citadels and ppl said NO. well... Alright.
What's the feasibility of an alpha-run engineering complex...namely a raitaru? A friend is ready to lend me one btw.Big smile

[EDIT] I'm talking alphas earning like 50mil/hour or so and has enough cash to only BUY a raitaru and equip it with ONE standup manufacturing complex. The complex will have NOTHING ELSE EQUIPPED. LITERALLY NOTHING. This will be in high security space and defenses are minimal. Maybe even nothing here too... What?
Mostly talking bout costs to run the above per hour or day Question

Honestly ask yourself, WHY?
I myself have wanted my own citadel, but there is honestly no reason to own a personal citadel unless you're in WH space, anything you do with it in Highsec will just be an ISK sink for you and you can go to any other structure and do what you want, only better and with no risk to yourself of someone killing it.

"Your security status has been lowered." - Hell yeah it was!

An alpha can launch, anchor and manage a Raitaru. They can also be CEO of a corporation. My structures are owned by holding corps run by Alphas to keep them separate from the operating business.

There is a fee to bring a service module on-line, roughly 2 days worth of fuel, to discourage people turning modules on and off as needed.

With 3 service modules and T1 rigs a Raitaru costs about 2.5 billion and will burn 500 million ISK worth of fuel each month.

Unless you are doing enough business to justify that expense I recommend renting facilities in a public structure. Also remember that ECs are destructible - don't fly what you can't afford to lose!

For that warm "my place in Eve" feeling. Home sweet home, you know? In system without other accessible citadels of stations with repair capabilities even empty uilding can serve the logistic purposes... You run DED sites and do not need to warp back somewhere to repair yourself.

Bear in mind, it takes a chunk of fuel to online service modules. And they go offline if they don't have fuel. (specifically to stop people constantly offlining and onlining)
