This is still happening. Such a massive game-play breaking bug deserves a bit more attention.

Well, if you're actually in the middle of the sun then make it a safe spot.

Not very many people will find that.

Tried it!

The problem happens when you try to warp back to it after the GM resets your position. You hard-bounce off the sun.

1. That's his point, that's actually very useful (to the point that you can get in trouble for using it)

2. File a bug report!

If you can reproduce this bug with any consistency then that's super useful information for CCP in trying to fix it. If you can't reproduce it with any consistency then that's probably why CCP haven't fixed it yet, because they're working on it and have no clue what's going on...

More like 200k/s. I ended up with one of these in High Sec from a bugged ship after the server suffered an unscheduled restart years back. We bounced a Freighter off it and it ended up like 2AU off the sun.

Can't say i've ever undocked from a station and spawned at the sun, i've only had this happen with jumping to cyno's just as they died
