Hi guys! I'm going to post something and I want you to help me find the problem. It's okay, any amateur can do this one provided they have functioning eyes. This sample has no real transits that I could find, just some flare activity and other noise. Behold!

So as I sit here staring at this, perplexed, I can't help but think about analysts I used to know that were wizards at making complete crap events out of pure noise. I think if I showed this to them, even they would be just as puzzled as I am. In fact this is actually one of the least likely areas in the noise to be a sneaky hidden transit. Quite honestly I hope nobody actually got this one "correct", because if they did then they are wrong.

What really worries me is that I work with exoplanet data, just not with the light curves themselves. As I goof around with this project I can't help but wonder how much junk like this is making its way into my work. Maybe I should start scrutinizing my data more closely.
