Eve portal connection problems

Hey folks.

One small issue with eve portal. Whenever it notifies me of a new mail and I try to open it I am getting an error at the top in a red bar that says connection error. I am not sure if this an iPhone issue or setting or perhaps the APP is having issues? Has anyone seen this and how is it fixed?

I have tried removing and adding the accounts again. It happens with both accounts I have and on all characters. I have checked cellular settings in the iPhone to make sure it is enabled. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the APP. The notifications still come through when I get a mail so it is in fact working to that point.
