Shared Cache files

Hi,

I am moving to another PC, in so doing I have noticed and been told via in game help that all my market quickbar folders and items are in a shared cache file and not server side.
So my question is where to find those files and which ones to copy and move to the new PC so that everything is just as I like. all the windows, tabs, chat rooms, market quickbar folders, especially the market folders.

Hoping to get back to eve this afternoon so please halp!

Does anyone have an answer for this?
I have copied the folder TQ and pasted it into the new install on the new PC, overwritting all the original files there, no change, still no market quickbar.
I have tried copying the entire folder and pasting that into the new install but this does not appear to work either.

I have also used the search function on these forums, and it appears to be broken and times out.

any other suggestions?

CCP or a Dev? someone?

You haven't specified which folder you have copied from one PC to the other.

C:\Users\*******\AppData\Local\CCP\EVE\c_eve_sharedcache_tq_tranquility is the one you are looking for.

I'm not sure if it does anything with the market quickbar but I have successfully copied mine to my work PC and kept all of my UI settings such as window sizes and shortcuts.

I am now trying that, it is a little different on my PC, Windows 10 64bit
197mb file, does that sound about right?
Anyway it looks like it is going to take my old pc about 30 minutes or so so I will update later

Ok, moved files, deleted the identicle folder on the new install (backed up) no market quickbar list.

starting to wonder if I should right a ticket because I have also followed the instructions here:
https://support.eveonline.com/hc/en-us/articles/213281985-Shared-Cache-Options

While something appears to work, like windows I am not sure if I had set those up already on the new build.

I have just tried copying the index_tq file as well to no avail.

I just want all my market quickbars items and folders, how hard can CCP make this?

That doesn't seem to be the correct folder.

Your shared cache can be anywhere on your PC but you will always have other files in "app data/local".

Change your folder settings so that you can view hidden files and folders, then go to the location I linked in my first post.

Ok, I have finally managed it, I am not sure what was happening as I had "hidden" files visable, but the individual core_char_yournumberhere.dat files were not visable to me, and then for no apparent reason they were, maybe a Windows 10 issue? IDK as I am the administrater, /me shrugs. Roll

Anyway, thanks for the help, once I moved just these small files over everything worked and I turned into a happy chappie.

Elizabeth Norm also helped a lot by initially giving me directions in the SCC-Lounge on where to find the charactor Core-char files.
