I have a few things which could be improved:

  • The sort order of the chronicles is confusing. The chronicles are called "chronicles" for a reason. I know that especially the early ones were quite independent from each other but many chronicles accompanied specific events or historic phases in the game and often refer to earlier chronicles. Right now, those chronicles and even series like "End of the World" or "Black Mountain" are not in order. Using the sort order or publish date from (for example) this List of Chronicles would be more useful in my opinion.

  • The List of Chronicles above also contains 13 chronicles (item 216 to 228 representing the years 2012 to 2014) that are missing in the new portal (they were also missing on the old eve-o chronicle page). It would be nice to add them again to the library.

  • In many chronicles formatting details got lost during the migration from the old to the new site. For example: In Sunset Yonis' little four-line poem has become a one-liner, or Jeanelle's letter at the very end of the same chronicle is a single text block now. The same for example with the Ior Labron quote at the beginning of Anoikis or the Apocryphon quote in Testament: all line breaks have disappeared there.

  • Font attributes (italic, bold, etc.) are often missing, for example in Vitrauze Project: "This time, there was no life in Hilen's eyes, and it was telling her to go." The rather important italic emphasis is only on the old chronicle page, not on the new one. Same chronicle: The paragraph beginning with "Lianda. I must warn you..." doesn't have the italic attribute on the new page. Or, all the bold and italic attributes in Present Pieces are gone. In Anoikis one sentence ("Had she not realized yet?...") moved into a strange blockquote-tag. Etc., etc.

All the chronicles look migrated by some script or conversion program, obviously, which was... well, not perfect.

  • Tag attribution feels very rudimentary at the moment. For example we got only six chronicles under the "Minmatar" tag. For sure, there are way more.

  • Really a huge amount of 404 errors, as already mentioned by others.

It is great to see this back and I appreciate the effort.

However I hope that you can sit together with the web-team to improve the layout and presentation.

At this time it is a painfully long scroll through some categories, and the entries are not organised in a recognizable way. It would be good to be able to see on any given page which entries are available with a table of contents. An alphabetical order of chronicles and entries would also help a lot to find things.

Many pages still miss links and the "see also" section they used to have.

More text based listings and less screen space used for images would also help, particularly on "category" pages like the race entry pages.

I like that it is now working better on mobile, but especially on that platform the long scrolling is very problematic especially since you never know for how long you will have to scroll due to the lack of ordering.

Oh yes and indeed many links are broken (404)

I understand this is still in it's teething phase, but I sincerely hope you will find the time and resources to make this as good as it deserves to be.

Thank you for your efforts.

- CONCORD have at least 3 entries with similar texts. Probably should be consolidated on one.

Nice that (most of) the fiction is back, though in some sort of weird tablet/smart phone friendly design that's a bunch of wasted space and scrolling on a desktop screen. Hey, it's sorta back, better than it staying lost from official CCP web pages! More of my Eve themed reading material is back in reach, w00t!

So... when does the next section of the DXed EveWiki make it's return? Which part?

:-D

I know how chaotic teamwork can be and people get realocated all the time for different things, however, could you guys please take a look at the suggestions and feedback provided and fix the mentioned stuff on the site? We´re still a few chronicles short and not organized, several 404 errors and the layout on different devices is kinda funky.

By the way, in the Backstory area of the Community website is also the Fiction section. The stories there are mostly available as chronicles as well, so there is no need to migrate those to the new Fiction portal. However, there are two exceptions: The stories

are only in this section and not copied as chronicles. Maybe we could consider to add them to the new portal, just as two additional chronicles instead of opening a new section for those two stories only?

Just to mention another minor point, at least: The other stories in the Fiction section might be slightly newer than the corresponding chronicles. I don't know if that's true for all stories there but I know for sure that the Jita 4-4 version in the Fiction section contains a bunch of corrections in punctuation and a few modified sentences compared to the Jita 4-4 version in the Chronicle section. The Fiction version includes two additional artwork images, too. I would probably replace the chronicles in the new portal by the fiction versions.

And I agree with Morgana, some reply from Devs or ISDs would be nice if the feedback provided here is read and considered at all. Right now it feels like simply nothing has happened since the launch of the portal months ago. Perhaps a status update on the Lore Discussions subforum of the new forum? Thank you!
