Did all players receive free plex?

I havn't logged in since 2011 so i'm a bit behind the curve and have some catching up to do. When i last played i dont remember there being PLEX in game but i may be mistaken. When i logged in i have my isk from when i stopped playing and noticed i have some PLEX as well. could i have had it back in 2011 and not noticed or was there a free giveaway to all players in the past six years? or several?

1: PLEX has been around for almost forever.
2: This happened with me, a long time ago, small amounts of Aurum was given out, and with recent plex changes they removed Aurum and converted everyones balances into its equivalent in PLEX.

P.S. They broke down plex into smaller units for ease of purchase, 30 Days Game Time = 1 Old PLEX = 500 NuPLEX

Ah thanks...must of had Aurum converted. So long ago cant recall.
