First off, when I opened the EVE client just now I had to accept the EULA again. Why?

Next, it refused to log me in.

Then the forum ate my first attempt at this post.

What's going on?

Hamsters were removed from their warm nest inside the server, got pissed and went on strike.

Oh you didn´t know?
Starting today you have to pass an intelligence test.
Since you tried to log in during the update and wondering why it didn´t work, you failed it.

I got lost in thought... it was unfamiliar territory.

Like I said, the forum appeared to eat my first attempt - I got the 'We Were Ganked!' screen.

If you knew that today is an update, why were you still wondering? I mean it´s hardly so uncommon that people need more time to finish their work that you can´t immediately realize that this is what´s happening now.

As I had already successfully installed the patch without any apparent problem I had no reason to think anything was wrong.

Why the hell is everyone being so abusive? I just asked a simple question.

Because it's a question that anyone who has been playing in the last 24 hours should know the answers to and we are all very tired of people coming to the forums, doing zero research or even opening their eyes and creating a new thread about the same thing as all the others.

I'll give you that it was not a complaining "CCP are crap" post as is normal though

I logged out at 10:50 in advance of an update scheduled to last for 1 hour. I re-opened the client 3½ hours later and successfully installed the update and had no reason to think anything was wrong.

How are the previous 24 hours relevant?
