I think based on reading several other threads I have clarified this, but I can't seem to find this information in a conclusive and easy to understand format, so I was hoping someone experienced could confirm for me whether my information is correct.

Scenario:

Cloaked Falcon creeps up on a Stratios hacking cans and when in range, drops cloak, targets and starts a perma-jam, webs and scram.

Stratios reacts by trying to release drones.

If my information is correct, the Stratios will not be able to aggro drones on the Falcon unless he is able to deploy the drones before the Jam starts? Or is it that the Falcon has to fire the first shot before the drones are released to avoid drone aggro? Will Drones aggro regardless?

Also, what if the Falcon releases IT's drones and commands them to attack the Stratios after the Stratios has released its drones? WIll the Stratios Drones then aggro on the Falcons Drones?

It is amazing how hard it is to try to figure out the exact mechanics of ECM and Drones....

If the falcon initiates any offensive module after drones deploy, they will attack. Chances are, he's starting his jams manually, causing aggressive drones to attack. If his drones attack yours, they will attack the drones instead of the falcon.

So for final clarification, the falcon would have to enable all e-warfare modules -AND- offensive weapons before the stratios drones are relased to avoid taking damage. Is this correct?

Drones have to be deployed in order to counter attack. If Falcon gets jams and aggresses before the stratios can deploy drones...its a wrap falcon holds strat with no incoming DPS.

Thanks! Sounds like you have an idea of the tactic I am exploring.
