Cashing out PLEX

I've read about complaints of RMT here and on Reddit recently, which made me think: if that's a problem, why not let players cash out PLEX for real-world cash? CCP will tax it, obviously - so the players doing this will get significantly less than what those PLEX were bought for.

To make things interesting, the system can be tied to sov, so alliances can cash out a limited amount of PLEX each month depending on how much sov they're holding.

That way, players finally get a reason to go to war for sov again and make things explode, former RMT barons get a legal way to support their habit, CCP taxes extra for all the exchanges - everybody wins.

CCP would have to deal with a nightmare of tax laws for EVERY SINGLE COUNTRY THAT EVE PLAYERS HAIL FROM.

not really it could be the players responsibility they can be forced to have to have a valid bank account to deposit it into or address

but I honestly don't see that happening because right now the money on some of these plaques is floating around has already been spent if people automatically started cashing out for cash it it would kill CCP so it's not going to happen even though I think it's an okay idea they cannot do it now cuz it would cost too much collateral damage to their business

but if you want to play games where you could do RMT legally I recommend entropia Universe and Second Life

This is incorrect. There are a lot of laws when you're moving money between national borders, and allowing something to be converted back to cash introduces even *more* legal restrictions in many jurisdictions and the company mediating the transactions is responsible for a lot of these.

I'm sure CCP is just chomping at the bit to double their support department, literally just to give away money. Considering that none of their models are set up to get money from systems designed into those other games.
