Proposed Solution | Citadel Spam & Incentives For Attack

I'd like to propose an idea I have had after listening for several weeks to the community on the issue of citadels and incentives for destroying them.

The problem |To many citadels, not enough incentive to attack
We see citadels everywhere, and I have heard many people say there is simply no reason to destroy one. I looked myself and found 10 Billion destroyed, but 0 isk dropped. I can see how this can be a problem.

The solution |Limited number of items allowed in asset safety (Details to be discussed below)
I would like to propose allowing a certain number of items in asset safety, be that X number of ships, and X c3 of ore (Ore hold)
** Could also be only a set amount of c3 total, regardless of items**

The items places in the tab labeled "Asset safety" would be safe upon destruction, EVERYTHING ELSE would be destroyed or have a chance of dropping modules, ships, etc and perhaps make the wreck a bit more lucrative to salvage for parts.

Please let me know what you think. Do you think this could add the incentive we are looking for to engage structures agai

You may be missing the point with adding candy for spanking citadels. People burn Citadels when it is necessary, not because its fun. They could drop Grade A porn and it is still grinding a structure for almost a week. The main and only incentive needed is good fights. Even if they dropped Plex and Concord LP many people would rather play world of tanks then grind structure for good of Eve's scenic environment.

The issue with loot drops ( i could be wrong..i only hope) is the server has to "roll the odds" on every item that has the potential to drop to see if it does or not. Since Citadel's have limitless storage space that is SOO exploitable. I would hazard to guess that they (ccp) can get away with loot drops in WH because they have a lower percentage of hoarders and lower head counts which equates to lower server load. If loot drops happened in K-space, I would pack my citadel with so much cheep useless stuff that if it was ever dropped the node would halt and catch fire or transmute lead into gold.

It's not safe out here. It's wondrous, with treasures to satiate desires both subtle and gross. But it's not for the timid.

The already have loot drop in WH and people don't go bash these "pinata" because it's too much effort. Asset safety is there in non-WH space because of EVE marketing promise of being able to come back after month away from the game and still have all your stuff. It's always been like that except the method to get access back to your stuff changed. You can't tell your players to evac their **** before taking a break when said break could come because of horrible things like medical emergency.

Thank you, my idea seems to have been invalidated. Whomever can, please lock or delete thread.
