EVE Planetary Planner - Redesigned Beta version available

First of all I would like to say that your PI tool is awesome. It is what I need. If I could get it to work.

I get lots of error/crashes ( I dont know how I cant bug report them to you)
I cant get the Planet cashe to work. (I press refresh but when I go to suggester tab there is nothing in the Drop down menu)
When I select Price location and Refresh.... Crash.
Its very unstable for me. Tried to use compatibility modes, Run as admin. Nothing seems to be working.
What I want the most is to be able to point it into a system/systems and tell me what is better for me to make based on what resources(value) I got on each planet.

Hi,

which version are you using ?
The old one, or the new Alpha?

There are bugs in the old one that I am not able to fix anymore. (which is one of the reason I went with the new Alpha).

if the bugs are in the Alpha, what are you language settings ?
I know that people using French settings have some issues that I am working on.

The Cache is supposed to work because I use it quite often.
Make sure the path in the 'Tools' tab is correct and indeed points to your EVE cache folder.
Also, before using the cache, you need to first view each of your planets at least once in Planet mode in the game.
I do not remember on top of my head if you need to have colonized the planets first or not.

The example of use with the suggestion is what I do weekly. That's one of the first thing I made sure was working.
That is why I find it strange that you have so many issues with it.

But that's why I welcome all feedback and bug reports.
So I can make the tool better Big smile

I use the lastest alpha (v. 8.0.0.20(Alpha))
I use english..
I cant make it work with either the old one or the new one. For me the old version is more stable.
If you can add debugging or some way to get a bug report on crash, txt format, will help a lot.
You can make a discord channel too. I think its faster than forums.
I really love what you have made so far.

I am working on a major bug reported by Yutsaku at the moment.
Hopefully I should have it fixed by the end of this weekend. (I work on the tool only during weekends)

You mentioned that you selected the Price Location and press Refresh.
Can you tell me what region/system you used for that ?
It could be a special case I have not seen yet.
The Price Location is use the ESI API now. It could be something related to it.
So more info would be useful to try to reproduce the issue Big smile

The Forge
Everything does that. I want a bug crash error report or something so I can check whats does it. I have lots of different programs etc etc that are unique to me and may be the cause of the problem.

I'm running into the same issue with it crashing anytime I press the refresh button on any region. English and I've tried running it with admin rights and without.

I found the issue with loading/expanding some planets.

First there was a typo in the way I handle High-Tech Facilities.
It is actually High-Tech with a dash... Roll
So that is fixed.

Second, there is an issue with ordering the structures in the case of planets that are only transforming products, not producing them (no extractors).
This one is a bit harder to fix because of what I am trying to achieve visually.
I am working on it and I hope to have it fixed tomorrow.

I uploaded a new version of the redesign.
I have improved the way profit is calculated when you decide to produce/buy parts of the production chain.
Now when you select 'Buy', anything behind it will be hidden from the tree to make it clear that you are not buying that.
And in the Product Data window, the change on the Average Profit is immediately updated. (You need to fetch the region prices first by configuring the Prices settings Tools tab)
