This one will yeah. New Forums, maybe not. Even if it is an ugly mess that looks like a wall of text.

I predict the new forums will get less use due to general dissatisfaction

The new "forums" seem to be more about business workflow than consumer forums for entertainment.

I don't see why they're making new forums again, with less visually appealing software.

Need stuff moved? Push Industries will handle it. Serving highsec, lowsec and nullsec - and we do it faster and more reliably than anyone else. Ingame channel: PUSHX

The reason is simple.

Someone's job requires that they come up with new stuff - needed or not - to justify their continued employment.

This debate looks like that one between grandparents with their retro music and their grandchildren with their rap and RnB music.

The new forum view and design should be optimized a bit to make it more punctuated, but in general he’s better. The new forum is more functional, more socialized, more informative (including statistic and linked posts), fluid and mobile optimized and completely developed under new Material concepts (which are implemented and supported by Google, MS and more and more new brands). It’s very quality and complex, compared to other new forum models - good and hard job CCP!

I wished they could used the old address, I have my phone trained to go to the old one Cry and just ported the old forums into it. Too bad, they killed the old forums the say way years back

I do like the ease of use on a smart phone. Love the quote system.

No cuts, no butts, no coconuts!

Forum alt, unskilled in the ways of pewpew!

I will not be posting there that's for sure.

CCP Falcon sent me a Bs pm calling me a troll and locked the message so i couldnt reply so he can eat a big fat **** and they can sit there alone all day on their ugly "new" forums and wonder where the activity went.

Um I've already proven the new site runs worse on mobiles, and has a large amount of mobile related bugs as well as requiring a constant connection because it force updates in real time and is incapable of loading the entire page.
You can only load segments and as you scroll you have to stop and load new sections.
It's a disaster.

Strange. The new forum just works fine on my Android Lollipop 4.4.4, while the old one is minimized to a "bug" size. What is your mobile OS? What is your mobile connection speed? It's 3G? Yup, it requires constant connection, because it's not a mobile app.

BTW. Sadly, I can't install skill manager app on my Lollipop 4.4.4. Version 5 is required. The CCP have to do a lot with mobile apps.

The forum as the main means of communication about EvE died several years ago.

Here I used to have a sig of our old Camper in space. Now it is disregarded as being the wrong format. Looking out the window I see one thing: Nothing wrong with the format of our Camper! Silly CCP......

Same case, not much use of the new forums

All character bazaar done. Finally 39 pilot and 3 can be killed later. This account will be used only for forum interaction, fly safe.

Dunno about the actual version but info says Android 6.9.1 or kernel 3.10.49 I'm guess that cause Android likes the food names.
And no I'm on 4g LTE.

Regardless youre taking a step backwards if you go from a stable forum like this which loads the entire page then stops and works on all devices because it's not "mobile optimized" and is just a clean default web page to the new forum which is buggy and requires the constant connection.
Just load the entire page then stop. I don't need to see every reply in real time and I don't want to scroll down and have to load a new segment of the page.
It's impossible to read anything because of the ridiculous zoom on the mobile setting and the desktop setting breaks the interface and the banner clips into your text box when typing.

It was poorly designed all around from the most basic level where they started by collapsing all the sub categories into 2-3 categories that don't accurately reflect what's inside.

The only annoying thing on mobile view of the new forum is a very large (high) top menu. That’s a wrong design. The EVE logo should be displayed in one row with other menu icons: login, search and mobile menu. That high-top menu causes a cover effect while searching and that looks like a bug, but that isn’t a bug – that’s an unfinished design, which will be fixed soon, I hope. The loading mechanic isn’t a bug – it’s and Ajax design concept. They just must add to the settings: load 50, 100, 500 posts per query you know.

I know that iOS browsers cause some abnormal visual effects (like old IE6), which must be additionally optimized.
