scene the Strip Miners 1 is an alpha item why not let use train Mining Barges 1
so we could get use the Procurer or have civilian Procurer - 15% of the stats so we can use the Strip Miners 1Big smile

I would imagine that it is because mining barges are a big leap forward in mining capability compared to the Venture. Having 20,000 Alpha clones mining in procurers would crash the ore market and leave the game exposed to Alpha bots in Procurers - creating futher incentive for people to go against the multi-boxing limitiations with alpha clones.

The alpha state is limited for a reason - and that is to give a taste for the game without confering the advantages of a subscribed account. Simply put: They want you to pay to play this game.

If the $10/mo it takes to sub to the game is out of your price range, should you really be wasting time playing video games in the first place?

and how exactly do you multibox alpha accounts freely?

some magic VPN that multiplies your IP?

Virtual machines run Eve pretty well at potato settings, and that's all you need for mining; a decent PC can run several without overly impacting performance and each is technically a separate PC, although it's a grey area where the EULA is concerned.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

The multiboxing is probably reaching a bit, but the problem is still the same. Alphas affect the game, the more people mining the less profitable it is for everyone else. So why allow Alphas, that don't pay for the game, to be able to affect everyone else even more?

to me everyone has a right to play so no need for all the hate

this idea was because the Strip Miners 1 is an alpha item and can only used on Mining Barges

Since I just got omega for a gift, Im gonna say it outright, are you crazy? Because holy **** the training line for a mining barge is longer than my **** and i could get away with doing it cheaper in Miasmos rigged to mine ore sites in wormholes. The time it would take for me to train for a barge, I could've mined all the materials and gotten a bpc for it, taken it to an engineering facility then had it made way before I could even fly the thing. I do think getting access to mining drones would be fair cause those things suck donkey balls dependin on what your mining.

Fot the most part, the Eve community has embraced the Alpha concept and there are a lot of new player corporations working very hard to integrate them into the game.

As an Alpha you need to respect the fact that Omega players are paying for your free ride. Eve is a subscription game, not a micro-transaction game. The Alpha accounts skillset was carefully chosen to give free accounts the ability to participate without undermining the value of a subscription.

You can mine and actually make a decent living gas harvesting, but you are limited. Likewise there is a place for Alphas in fleet but you won't be flying the big ships.

Enough of the game is available to let you figure out if Eve is worth the cost of a subscription to you. It isn't for everyone but I consider it the best investment in entertainment I've ever made and, after paying my subscription for a couple of years, I'm now earning enough in-game to play the full game for free.

Ever since the 'one per pc' rule for alphas was announced people have said that bypassing it is a trivial matter. I have no doubt people can run multiple alphas on a single pc. I also have no doubt people do have multiple pc's and laptops to run multiple alphas. And then i don't doubt there are people who can do both. This is eve. Anything that can be exploited will be.

These players should not be able to fly retties to semi-afk mine.

Yes, you shouldn't have brought up the fact that you think the game you're paying nothing per month isn't giving you want you want.

Honestly, why do you think you should get anything for free?
