Opinions needed: 2 billion isk on a 1 million SP old timer

Further to the post about a 40 million SP character asking how to use those points, my predicament is almost the opposite...

I have played EVE off and on for almost 10 years, primarily off I would say, but I did start again a whopping 12 days ago or so and plan to commit more time to this. Due to some cheap PLEX on-sale purchases, as well as some in game interactions using my past knowledge, I am sitting on right around 2 billion isk. Currently just over 1 million SP.

My dilemma may seem obvious - since I can't exactly fly too many really good ships all that well, do I just horde the money? Do I buy 2 or 3 injectors for another million or million and a half SP? Invest in something? BPs? PI? Convert it back to PLEX?

Thoughts? What would you do?

I should probably add that a couple of my goals are to make even more Isk maybe get involved in some PvP, no I am not currently in a Corp so it be great if I found one with friendly people, though it's not an extreme priority.

2 billion ISK is pocket change these days. Hang on to it so you have someinvestment capital when you see an interesting project. On a 1 million SP character skills will still be trainng very quickly - a few hours to a few days. It can be frustrating to buy 2 or 3 injectors and then change your mind about what you want to do.

Find a corp that supports your play style and learn from them before you consider starting your own.

Two options.

1) Skill Injectors
2) Trading while training up new skills. Trading, if done well, will net you a ton of isk.

2 billion is decent starting capital for market trading. I'd recommend using it to make more ISK rather than spending it on injectors right away.

Keep the money, get some skills with a very small fraction of it, then figure out the game. Once you have the basics down, do some trading, if you feel like you know what you're doing.

Keep in mind that daytrading in Jita can suck the fun out of the game for you, and trading that involves moving stuff around to where the best market is may get your ship destroyed (you need to be able to fly transport ships to be somewhat less at risk of losing your stuff).

Personally I'd figure out a long term skill plan (what ships do you want to fly, start there), and then I'd get all the skills required (including the support and weapon skills) and maybe some +3 implants to speed up training a bit. Then save the rest of the ISK for trading or a rainy day.

How do you have 2bill isk at only 1mill sp, i have just over 7mill sp and have only been playing for a few months, but practicly all my money has been donated to me by friends. How did you make so much isk so quick? O.o

Yet still I will give nearly the same advice. Spend the isk on cheap ships to get experience in PvP while having fun. Burning through 2 billion isk worth of insured frigates will be way more fun than buying 2 Billion isk worth of skill injectors and the experience will benefit you far more than the few skill points.

1. buy one skill injector and ensure your core skills are trained up.

2. Buy a bunch of cheap frigates and fittings to have fun / learn with if that's what you want to head toward, as said above.

3. Use the other billion+ to do regional trades in any size ship. That's enough isk for you to have small, higher-value cargo in a fast ship. Just don't be greedy and fly cargo you would be willing to lose if that happened - and check to make sure the buy order is still available on the other end - and be fast
