Ok so the old forums are at oldforums.eveonline.com so what happens to those archives when this forum goes to oldforums.eveonline.com and the new forums become forums.eveonline

CCP will probably make a different sub domain for these forums, so all three will continue to exist and these will be locked over time so only the new forum is used.

Thats worrying. That is not enough time for the new forum team to make many changes. Lots of issues have already been raised, with only a small amount of changes so far visible, with some not even looking to be possible, canning these forums so quickly is a bad bad move.

Cool. Good luck on the new forums. I more than likely not going to use the new forums in their current state as it pretty much impossible for me to keep up with anything. I've already posted about it in there (and referenced you in the post) about my issues and gripes, but Discourse's schtick is a crappy Facebookequse style of posting (imo godawful) so I know you can't do anything about it.

I guess it's time to discuss where all the people who REALLY don't like new forums design will move. Any good suggestions? Or any suggestions for engine and hosting for DIY?

One possibility to consider is picking up beginner scripting as a new hobby. I've just begun dabbling in ways to modify Vivaldi so it displays the metaforums in a manner more consistent with evegateforums functionality. Just pick your browser, hop on google, and start tinkering with stylesheets.

They'll go the same place they went when this forum was introduced and they were whining and crying about it.

Nowhere.

Most of them are still right here, posting like they always loved it. They'll do the same for the next new forum.

New forum is a jumbled mess of things going on. Too busy to be able to read any kind of title. Needs to be polished. Portraits next to titles and who has posted in thread need to be removed. Very cluttered.

Current forums are amazing and not just flat 2D, but very nice 3D so please let us choose design that we want.

I go to check them tomorrow but many of the people of my alliance say forums are not friendly.

edit : you consume too much time and bandwidth checking all the messages in a thread. In my country the payment of data in mobile is high. I not see much future for that forums.
