Jita Minerals Markets Question.

I've been selling loot at Jita.

I've put various items into sell orders. Some sell immediately, some get 0.01 ISKed but sell eventually. I am starting to see the pattern in how various markets fluctuate.

I'm also selling compressed Vitreous Mercoxit.

There I follow the same pattern and create sell orders. But I don't see sales. The market price goes up and firm as one or two people 0.01ISK and others copy. My order just sits there. I think "Wait until their ore sells the. Mine will sell at my original price.", but that's not what happens. Markets go up and down, sometimes to extremes, but ultimately I don't see much progress on selling.

Eventually I conclude I am wasting a sell order I could use to sell things that actually sell and just abandon it and claim Jita buy price.
Do ores actually sell or does manufacturing happen so infrequently that the market is flooded with too much ore?

How do I make money selling ores like Mercoxit through Jita sell orders?

From what I got industrialist set buyorder acording to their spreadcheats and apps. Buying ore from sellorder is more a thing when only small amouts of ore are missing. Buyorders can be a big chunk of an industrialist's margin AFAIK.

Morphite is easy to transfer as a mineral, and compressed ore is usually much more expensive than the minerals in Jita. The only real demand for morphite in Jita is t2 producers that don't mine in null, so I'd imagine that there isn't a lot of demand.

Raw materials are indeed trending too high compared to the bids for reprocessed content. At present, Jita buy orders reach 9156 ISK per unit of Morphite, while Vitreous only churns out (at level 2 Mercoxit Processing) an equivalent 10805 ISK of finished product (Vitreous ask / 330 Morphite / reprocessing inefficiencies).

What this means is traders are going for maximum Mercoxit Processing in order to break even on Vitreous bids, skipping the sell orders entirely.

So, if I wish to look simply at buy orders I am better off going to Jita and making an instant sell. Beyond that what are my options?

If I acquire salvage out in null sec, some units get more in Jita sell orders while some get more in local sell orders. I divide up
accordingly and lose everything through sell orders at a good profit.

What are my options for ores if Jita sell orders don't sell much? How can I maximise my profits from ores I obtain?

Miners in nullsec tend to get into Rorquals and mine everything they can until that asteroid belt is mined out. If the answer to maximising profits is reprocessing and selling minerals through sell orders does that mean a huge investment in skills before I can make money?

In order to use the correct entry level mining ammo for Mercoxit, your toon should already have Mercoxit processing in the queue to level 3 and have finished Reprocessing Efficiency V. You are only one additional regular Reprocessing skill level away from beating the Jita buyers at their own game. Sell that morphite! Cool
