Hi,

Can not find the proper Features and Requests section to post this, so putting it here.

I think most of us will agree interceptors are pretty OP in their current design being nullified, insta-warp and being able to apply DPS. I propose a change where interceptors have have "modes" similar to T3D's where you are in either travel or DPS mode.

In travel mode you are nullified but unable to use offensive modules. DPS mode should remove the nullification and allow offensive weapons, you can not change modes when you have a limited engagement timer.

Mode names and specific differences are up for debate, just throwing out the general idea.

Thoughts?

Other than you who says interceptors are OP?
Perhaps all those other posts with people complaining about the OP nature of interceptors are currently cloaked because I cannot find them so if you would kindly point me to them so I can read and be educated I would appreciate it. Otherwise I have to say no to your idea.

Interceptors were problematic a couple of years ago when they could fit entosis modules but that has been fixed. Since then I've seen a few people complaining that that are hard to catch but - that's their role - working as intended.

Fit for travel Ceptors are already pretty useless in combat. You can of course swarm with them and kill stuff, but at that point you are better off in other ships.

If anything, I would prefer to see bubble nullification come from a module rather than a hull bonus. Perhaps fitting that module precludes being able to fit high slots or something. Keeping the ability to tackle I don't think would be an issue since the weapons on a tackle Ceptor are pretty much an afterthought anyway.
