Looking for a sortable selectable map out of game.

Would like to be able to sort on multiple stats like pilots in space and by security.

Also is it possible to sort on more than one thing in game? Like pilots in space, security status & ship kills all at the same time?

In-game, no, because each statistic is displayed either with the color or the size of each star in the map (and also, the selection buttons are radio buttons, not check boxes). So when you're looking at the security status, you see the stars colored from blue to red, when you look at the pilots in space you see smaller or bigger dots for the stars, and the same for ship kills, facilities, and so on.

Out-of-game, I don't know all the options / websites; dotlan maps has charts for the statistics, so you can see them at the same time, per solar system, and overall stats.

Any Idea how to show pilots in space for only high sec or something similar?

The best thing I can think of would be Dotlan's regional maps - Filtering by 'Jumps'.
Here is an example of the Forge, home to Jita. You can see the number of jumps through that system in the last hour.

If anyone can think of a better third party metric I would be interested.

Might I ask about why exactly are you looking for such stats? Whats your concern?

If I were to hazard a guess, you're worried about ganking? There are some sites that use local chat pilot lists (you can select the pilot list and copy paste it into their website) and that site gave back killboard stats so you can see which pilots are pvp active, what areas have they been pvping in, etc.

https://gankerlookout.com/ << uses local chat names to identify pilots with killboard stats
http://eve-prism.com/ << has a system stat page when you type in system names
https://zkillboard.com/map/ << live map of fresh killmails being added.
http://evemaps.dotlan.net/map/Sinq_Laison#kills24 << with the filter ship/pod kills w/in 24 hrs, gives a good overview

Basically, we use different sites to get system metrics but with regards to info that can be found on the ingame map, I still haven't seen someone develop it. There was a thread here about the CREST pilots in space data pull, but I haven't followed that in a long time.

You can pull this yourself from the API. Like with the new ESI it would be for system jumps:

https://esi.tech.ccp.is/latest/universe/system_jumps/?datasource=tranquility

All the implemented universe info endpoints are here:

https://esi.tech.ccp.is/latest/#/Universe

With some work you can pull that automatically into a Google Spreadsheet or Excel, or write your own program to compile whatever data it is you want.

Hi,

Not ganking so much as finding quieter unpopulated systems to set up operations in.

High sec exploring and day tripping into Wormholes. Finding the busy systems are easy but I appreciate the responses.
