Happened to me again last night (on Tranquility), and it was during a ship explosion (mine lol). But previous cases I was not involved in any explosions of which I am aware. No crash dump was made this time but I updated the bug report in anycase. In my case it is not reproducible in a way I am able to determine, but I will turn on loglite from now on to try and capture what is happening.

PS open bug report from 5/22/17 is EBR-121228

EDIT: This might be a different bug with the same symptoms, as the exefile crash with explosions is one I can reproduce, and work around by turning off the explosion effect. I suspect there is some deeper underlying issue.

I have experienced the same issue twice now. The first time it happened when my ship exploded, but the second time was while attempting to initiate warp. I have submitted a bug report with no response. I refuse to play the game until this is satisfactorily resolved. I hope the have an answer for all the ISK this bug has cost me.

The answer to that would be a Ticket to Support to get reimbursed. ;)

I have yet to have this happen to me but I want to try to figure out what exactly is causing it.
Could you guys add a screenshot of your graphic settings so I can determine if there is a correlation between the bug and the settings.

Thanks

EDIT:
So I've found that the client is refferring to the "e:\" drive quite often.
Seems like CCP is using Jenkins (a Java app to automate stuff like building, testing and deploying software) which is installed in said "E:\" drive.
My best guess is that somewhere deep inside the code it somehow wants to load sprites or code from said e: drive and, in failing to do so, crashes your client.

LogLite might actually show what it is trying to load from there.
Would be interesting to see what happens when you create a new drive (E:\ obviously) and place a file in the exact location that EVE is trying to access.
Step 2 would be to put a python script there to see if the client will try to run it inside the game.
I dont think there is any vulnerability here but would probably be fun to play around with Lol.

Here is the error that I managed to force out of the Client a few days ago that lists said "E:\" drive:

10:59:13    client::General    error            {
10:59:13    client::General    error                "id": 3952,
10:59:13    client::General    error                "context": "('{NO CONTEXT>^{bound method Neocom._UpdateSkillInfo of {neocom.Neocom object b4590, name=Neocom, destroyed=False>>',)",
10:59:13    client::General    error                "repr": "{TaskletExt object at 46752100, abps=1101, ctxt='Tick::Sleep'>",
10:59:13    client::General    error                "stack": "  File \"e:\\jenkins\\workspace\\client_2017-EMILY\\branches\\staging\\2017-EMILY\\packages\\bluepy\\__init__.py\", line 36, in CallWrapper\n  File \"e:\\jenkins\\workspace\\client_2017-EMILY\\branches\\staging\\2017-EMILY\\eve\\client\\script\\ui\\shared\\neocom\\neocom\\neocom.py\", line 303, in _UpdateSkillInfo\n",
10:59:13    client::General    error                "stackid": "1179018768"
10:59:13    client::General    error            },

I had to modify that code a tiny bit or otherwise the forum wouldnt let me post it as it thought i was using html tags.

I'm bumping this as I get the same error, and my bug report has not been replied to.

The moment one of my ships is destroyed I receive the popup Windows dialog box 'exefile.exe - No Disk' with the statement 'There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive E:'.

Clicking on 'Cancel', 'Try again' or 'Continue' does nothing - the dialog box keeps popping up until I use Window Task Manager to force Eve to quit.

I've lost some expensive capsules with 2 different alts due to this, as I can't warp out on ship destruction. I've given up using implants until I get some help here.

Any ideas or comments?

As I mentioned above, disabling ship explosions fixed it for me. Your milage may vary.

could you please make a few screenshots of all your ingame settings in the ESC menu?
Will try to figure out what might be causing it if I can force this bug to happen on my PC

Here you go -

Its a two-screen set up.

I have since disabled explosions: just searching low sec for someone who wants to blow me up - its harder than it sounds...

Thanks for your help - I still haven't heard from CCP.
