CCP Please Fix Broken Est. Price

Is the mechanic behind estimating prices broken or just way behind? Sitting in Jita an Avatar Kador SKIN (Permanent) should not show an Est. Price of 1,223,000,000.00 when it's selling at 20,000,000 (approximately).

It's either intentionally misleading or broken.

It's working as intended. If it were highly sensitive, it would be easy to exploit for various nefarious purposes.

IIRC it shows the average for the month. So that price was valid last month or when it got its snap shot. And it says right there, Estimated price. the by definitions means it may not be the current price

No they are not, there is an intentional delay to it in order to prevent manipulation like what happened with FW. Due to the event the supply has spiked and the price has dropped. This will be reflected in the price at some point in time, until then it's still an estimate and thankfully it is not for a ship so you can't game insurance.

I still have to see a single argument from you why it is broken or how fast updating would not lead to some very easy exploits as have happened in the past. We understand that you are butthurt over not getting the exact amount it says on the market but that's normal. Things constantly change and there is a reason for the word "estimate".

Assuming you know where I'm coming from or telling me how I think it needs to be fixed is laughable. Are you in the third grade?

I know an instant update is not good for the game.

Try asking yourself what ccp has to gain with the way it's designed at the moment...

There have been some good answers already given by people earlier in this thread. I'm sorry if you are dissatisfied with the information they have provided. If you would like to hear from CCP directly, please file a support ticket on the matter.

You can also post here (https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=522029&find=unread) if you feel that this is the result of a bug, although I can assure you it is not.
