emoji's are everywhere now and a good way of portraying the way you feel about something, is there a way we can get them added into the ingame chat?

Only if there's a hard limit on 1 emoji per post.

Emoji spam is something Eve should never have.

Add ponies and fidget spinner buttplugs while at it.

It may be "everywhere" but doesn't match an adult game with corporations and empires in it.

And simply because they are everywhere and ubiquitously annoying, they don't need to be available in EVE at all. EVE's chats are irritatingly hard to read as it is. Take a hint from your alliance name and resist the further proliferation of this childish cow dung.

I'd like a wall of dickbutt emoji's, I'm afraid it would get abused as most things do doo in the EVE verse making it a spam fest.

On the bright side, it would solve the "local intel" issue as people would permanently close local chat.
Like some sort of ewar... There are alliances already using this tactic.

But I support more colorful emoji and easier to put into chat. They would have to add emoji font first to the game to make colored emoji usable somehow, then they would need to add UI window for chat.

It could be fun to have Eve emojis in space. Little 1 run bpcs that you earn for LP or buy from NES that can be built into deployables (and destructible objects)
