a true pirate ship idea

I was thining there is no real pirate ship in EVE in the sense of they attack and loot the corpse of any/all materials possible. This would fit several faction but my idea is laid out below. This will be more of a combat salvage role that will be forced to decided weather or not to go logi, shooty, or compromise between the two. more then likely it will have to lose a role bonus as its a little too all over the place but i wanted your opinions on the idea.

Caldari Bonus (per Skill level)
10% bonus to projectile damage

Minmatar Bonus (per skill level)
7.5% bonus to shield Booster amount

Role Bonus:
12.5% bonus to Salvage Drone chance
37.5% bonus to Target Painter effectiveness
75% bonus to ECM strength

Im thinking it may make more sense to have the racial bonus's as Turret Damage/Target Painters or Shield Boosters/ECM and leave only the Salvage Drones as the Role Bonus.

Caldari don't use projectiles, so having a Projectile Damage bonus for the caldari skill bonus would be strange to say the least.

Also I don't feel like the game needs another "jack of all trades" ship, as T3 cruisers are going to fit that role once the changes go live. But, to each their own.

You mean as strange as having missile bonus from Gallente on every Guristas ship?

Fit virtually any ship with a salvager (or bring a depot and refit to a salvager) and you solve 99% of the need expressed in your OP. Or just fly a battle noctis, which solves 100% of the needs of your OP.

This concept will function differently then slapping a salvager on any other ship. With any other ship you will need to have a tractor beam or bring a mobile tractor if you dont want to waste time flying around to each wreck. This waste a lot of time and in areas with multiple pockets, the last pockets wrecks sometimes have expired by the time you get there. This is only compounded if you have to switch ships. The Noctis is not made fore combat as it has no missile/turret hardpoints.

The Salvage drone will allow the ship to fight while collecting salvage, not to mention it extends the ships salvage reach. The ship should be able to hold its own in combat but not strong enought to hold its own against any conventional ship. Hence why i rather see logi-warfare modules on it then just straight gun bonus's. Im thinking it may make more sense to have the racial bonus's as Turret Damage/Target Painters or Shield Boosters/ECM and leave only the Salvage Drones as the Role Bonus.

op wants a autolooting ship that on targets death auto loots all dropped loot (maybe even keep loot from being destroyed) that would go straight into his hold, and pop a capsule and you autoloot the corpse.

A more interesting idea

A ship that can fit a module to emit a friendly signal
You show up as a random green, blue or purple from any players corp, fleet or alliance

If you warp on grid with two players they could see entirely different names.
It wouldn't hide what ship you're flying, and t automatically disables if you get within 20km of another player. Then you appear as you normally do.
If they lock you while your module is active it creates a feedback that jams you out for a few seconds as if decloaking but shorter.
Can't target other players while it's active.
Various other conditions may apply.

Forces people to know who and where their Corp mates are and what they probably like to fly.
Gives you the chance to slow boat up to someone while appearing friendly to say a group of miners or a transport ship till you're close enough to attack.

Edit: it couldn't be a ship because people would just avoid that ship like the infamous t3 cruisers.
Instead it's just a module that can't be fit to covert ops/force recons/ can't be used with a cloak.
It doesn't slow you down or stop you from warping. It's just an overview spoofer/on grid spoofer
And it's disabled while jumping so you'll still see a red enter system, disappear as a friendly appears, clue one. They show up on dscan as their original name so it can't fool dscan but it can be activated while cloaked from gates or stations.
try and bluff your way through a gate camp hope they don't get close enough to blow your cover.
Catch ships unocking and follow them, sneak up or miners then raise the jolly Rodger and attack.
