No? Eve has a trial period, ganted you can't do everything you can with a paying account but at the very least they extend you the courtesy , like a good drug dealer, to try their product for free, because they know once you try it you will be hooked. Then they have you and you keep playing while your wallet is ganked.


SW-TOR is a new game. Show me any MMO in the history of MMO's that launches with a trial.


usually they are free, world of tanks for example.

shes right, rift didn't start with a trial for a while, its intended because trial accounts help to create bots (the restrictions are to decrease bot power, least non-paying ones Blink )

anyways i figured as much i said SWTOR was wow with a space theme.... well you know what they say about wow killers....

doesn't matter im playing a game OLDER than wow that actually is more enjoyable, maybe i just like getting the most awesome fits, flying ships and manuevering and priotizing targets? i mean in OTHER MMOs you can stand in one place and just mash buttons and you win Roll

Or better, EVE for example. If you want to compare SW-TOR to World of Tanks, compare EVE to LotRO too.

You are running in circles now. You bought an MMO at launch. Wasn't what you wanted. Feel free to buy a Super Carrier with Plex and never log it in if you are of the mind to throw money away.

I intend to go play Tera in May. If it turns out is sucks (by my definition) I won't gripe about it. I certainly won't begrudge them the money, any more than I begrudge CCP any money I've put in EVE. To the tune of around 10 grand over 7 years.

I keep on thinking I'd like to try SWtoR, but then I watch a brief Youtube video or gameplay trailer and lose interest. I feel that way about a lot of games. The sad part, is likeing the premise of the game, and knowing they'll never live up to it.

I hate mining too. Maybe not hate; but it bores the hell out of me. You know how you're doing something, and you feel that dull ache in your temples and have to stifle urges to yawn, and then your eyes start to tear from the strain of watching?

That's how I feel.

Also when there's Eve, why bother with other games?

You're all a bunch of idiots for paying that much money for a game you know absolutely nothing about which had very little convincing gameplay footage available, yes, it's a tragedy, but the fact is both me and EA are laughing at you and I hate EA, you should have done your research instead of listening to the hype and drooling over cinematic trailers.

actually, just kidding, but sort of not. I liked the Interactive backstory in Mass Effect 2, but at the same time, I thought the comic stuff was kinda poor. So was the narration, for that matter; like a bad **** Tracy movie. But really, not horrible; just not great.

I'm trying to appreciate it, I really am. It's just hard.

If they ever got rid of even ONE Bot........

Seriously, get rid of the Botting Icers, and there won't be much Ice at all.

Then....PROFIT. BO-ring.....but Profit!

With a corrected Market through Bot eradication, Ice Mining would be in demand, boring or not.

The only incentive for it currently is fueling one's own POS.

A sad fate for the rather important stuff that keeps Towers alive and makes Jump Bridges possible, etc.

I just unsubbed my SWTOR account

Yeah it has flaws but that wasn't the reason after all its only just come out you can't expect it to be perfect so quitting for that reason is frankly stupid.

STWOR's storyline kept pushing me forward at a pace I didn't like, being one of those healer types I like doing a lot of PvP and Flashpoints, but I'd do them, level up really fast and then be forced to go face roll a load of mobs 8-10 levels lower than me. No fun at all. That's what stopped me playing.

Endgame just looked like more of the same that I have already experienced in wow, and I left that for a reason.

In the end, I am a bit bitter and wasting that much money on it, but nevermind.
