I ran my first sleeper data site in a wh today, can't remember for the life of me what it was called, but various sites said there would be a few waves of sleepers with 30mil+ of blue loot and salvage. The site had 5 very easy cans to hack, yielding a woefully poor amount of loot, but there wasn't a sleeper in sight.

Had someone already cleared the site? Or do I have to fail one of the data hacks to spawn the sleepers?

It sounds like somebody ran it for the blue loot and didn't bother with the cans. That's pretty common. You saw how bad the loot was so you can see why people frequently skip it. If you don't hack the cans immediately, it takes about an hour (iirc) after the last sleeper is killed before the site despawns.

It is common practice in wh to leave the cans due to the ore that is there to mine also.
Pop the cans and the site is no more.
