Just wait until winter comes and see what's in store for Empire dwellers. Three words: standings-locked content. If you work for one faction, the other factions will drop standings so fast that you'll be effectively locked from working for them.

Admittedly I've only heard it from one source so take it with a pinch of salt, but it's so insane that it could be true.

Incredibly doubtful that CCP would do such a thing, but it'd be pretty interesting if they did. Might be the groundwork for that four-way faction warfare they've been talking about for a while.

So far it's the only specific thing I've heard about Winter release and it's something that popped from a random encounter in GTA Online, but as I said it's so insane that could be true. Nobody would make up something like this.

I would never have "befreinded" anyone in this game and helped out many others. They will turn around and fk you over the first chance they get for anything from 200mil isk to a quick shiney kill.

You're 10 days in, you haven't known anyone long enough to give em 200M Straight

You must be hanging out with some shady characters.

Clearly I am a bad judge of character, but after spending 2-3 hrs a night with a person in com's for some times a year you'd expect some sort of comraderie. But just look at the crime forum pages and all the long running scams in EVE it is obvious. Cyber bullies and griefers come to eve to thrive. Can't help feel sorry for them though as they probabaly get bullied in RL.

Going back to when you started Eve, if you knew then, what you know now, what would you do different?

Myself I would have entered 0.0 earlier and would not have spent a ton of skill points on science. Also I would have spent a majority of my ISK on T2 BPO's when the lotttery was still going..

1. Not quit for large chunks of time. Even when I started the money was never a big deal... I should have just kept paying (and skilling) when I wanted to take a year or two off.

2. Focus on research agents from the start. First for the T2 BPO... then for datacores before they became not as profitable.

3. Join a corp way quicker than I did.

4. Get out to Null way quicker than I did.

5. Buy loads of plex early and hold until late.

6. Never spend gift aurum on skins and clothes... because eventually they'd turn into mini-plex.

7. Much more focused skill training. I have lots of sp in stuff on my main toons that are not used (at least not on those toons).

8. Station trading. I didn't even bother looking at it until my latest trip back to EVE (November). I had no idea how semi-passive station trading (every other day updating orders) could rack up significant isk (for me at least).
