I want to give a killboard my xml api with just public killlogs as the only access. However, they recently changed and no longer accept api.

Is there a way that I can have similar control over other interfaces that I have now with the xml api?

If you're meaning like ESI, when you log in you allow a number of what are known as scopes. These are privileges. Similar to what you'd do when installing an app on a phone, allowing it to access your camera and so on.

If they ask for more scopes than is appropriate, your main option is to not use the service. (the alternate option is to edit the scopes in passing, but that will, most likely, cause them to not use your token at all.)

Woo! CSM XI!
