I would like to know from people that, pilot carrier & if you can compare different races carriers if possible. I know carriers & super carriers all have different stats & what not. However, I would like to know what peoples favourite carrier/super carriers are.

I would like to know, what your views are for an all around favourite carrier is. Say for ratting, logistics, PvP. I know all carriers can do this, but whats your favourite & why?

Is it the Wyvern, because of shields?

Is it the Nid, because of the speed bonuse to fighters?

Is it the Nyx because it looks sexy?

Is it the amarr one?

What role do you uses it for? Ratting, PvP or logistics?

sounds like the Hel for ratting, speed bonus helps fighters get to target faster, and let them take less damage.

probably the nyx or aeon for pvp as they are armor tanked. Nyx gets the extra damage bonus, where the aeon gets the resist bonus and no one wants to primary an aeon in a big super fight.

looking at zkillboard the popularity for kills goes nyx, Hel, aeon, wyvern, Revenant, Vendetta https://zkillboard.com/group/659/

Seems a bit early in the year for Salty Snowflakes, must be the global changes. Smile

Both the Nyx and Hel can rat well, fighter durability versus speed in the end doesn't matter so much since you can increase the other with mods, without the damage bonus, once the changes come in I don't think it is a smart idea to rat in a Wyvern or Aeon, they will be better for PVP fleets with FAX support though, as the Aeon and Wyvern can fit tanks that are much better than their counterparts. If your PVP is just hotdropping though, you want the nyx or hel since the damage is better for getting in and getting out fast again.

Basically the exact same thing could be said about the races normal carriers, Archon and Chimera tend to work better at logtistics supported PVP, nid/thanny are better at ratting and hotdropping. Thanatos is probably the best solo carrier due to the siren bonus.

As far as logsitcs, that would be Force Auxilaries, and I don't really fly them personally, but it seems that the Apostle and Minokawa are the best for fleet operations and the Ninazu and Lif are really setup for smaller gang/small fleet type things. Those two can use either shield or armor reps, and have a cap booster bonus, I also see them more in lowsec than I do in null, but that might just be coincidence.

Of course, with the fighter nerf inbound, the entire capital PVP meta is going to be shaken up, I imagine dread bombs are going to become much more popular and carriers a fair bit less so.
