Hmmm...maybe, also things like robotics back when they were sold by NPCs for a fraction of their current value.

I would have got a second account earlier.

When the going gets tough the Gankers get their CSM rep to change mechanics in their favour.

I'd divide up character skills earlier. Meaning: My main (this one) trail blazed everything. Now I use my main for combat, a secondary for mining and manufacture, and a third for hauling and selling.

I'd take a job delivering pizza for 5 hours a night, and make another 20,000 a year for those first 5 years.
The time I spent gaming could be worth over 100,000 dollars if I had worked doing anything....

I would probably not sold that dammed Plex I found in a wreck to buy that Immolator..... It diet with a stupid fit.
Activating it would have been smarter.
Also. Ignoring corporations for years. I missed the chance of so much fun and motivation to do more than sneak every now and than in the game with a stupid trial. I only realy found a connection to this game last year. Such wasted time.....

Praise the Omnissiah!

Honestly if I knew how addicted I was going to get between 2011 and 2015? I would have never started playing to begin with. That being said, if I didn't care about that, I would have gotten into 0.0 to start with instead of wasting time in hisec mining and doing missions.

Going back to when you started Eve, if you knew then, what you know now, what would you do different?

Myself I would have entered 0.0 earlier and would not have spent a ton of skill points on science. Also I would have spent a majority of my ISK on T2 BPO's when the lotttery was still going..

I would do just the same. I just enjoy it.

Considering that they have virtually wiped out meaningful solo play...

I'd probably never start playing.

Just wait until winter comes and see what's in store for Empire dwellers. Three words: standings-locked content. If you work for one faction, the other factions will drop standings so fast that you'll be effectively locked from working for them.

Admittedly I've only heard it from one source so take it with a pinch of salt, but it's so insane that it could be true.

The honest answer for those of us who've been around for over a decade is :

"I wish I'd never started playing".

Regardless of how much fun you've had & friends made, the years of playtime (I mean real-time) and forum whoring is pretty scary if you add it up.

There's an old 90's TV show called Red Dwarf & an episode called "Back to Reality" where they "discover" they've been in a VR game for two years.

I'm 99% sure I've spent more than a year (real-time) playing Eve since 2003 Shocked The scary part is some peeps probably have spent more than 2 years (real-time) playing Eve. Oh & I don't mean AFK but active play.

Of course it only looks like "wasted time" when you leave/stop actively playing.

Well played CCP Blink

I would never have "befreinded" anyone in this game and helped out many others. They will turn around and fk you over the first chance they get for anything from 200mil isk to a quick shiney kill.

Move to null faster, dip into wh's faster. Do drops faster. I spent a week or two too long doing L4's and incursions, feels like wasted two weeks.
Join a corp faster, start using EFT faster, experiment with pve and pvp fits faster... Stop giving 2 fuks about losing experimental derpfits faster. Learn how to fly an interceptor faster.

And other things (faster).

Incredibly doubtful that CCP would do such a thing, but it'd be pretty interesting if they did. Might be the groundwork for that four-way faction warfare they've been talking about for a while.
