I was in the Amarr capital system today and noticed that the info box for the Emperor station had this to say of the Golden Empire

"........Empress Jamyl I, crowned in YC 110, tolerates no interference from her former relations, but is determined to guide her empire to a new golden age of prosperity and enlightenment -- despite them, if necessary."

Sounds pretty present-tense for a chick that's been dead for awhile. Shocked

Someone would get beheaded and their family sold into slavery for such a grave insult to the new regime.

But come on....this was a major lore event in the game, run by the devs themselves. The entire Succession Trials....Drifters....any of this ringing a bell?

Be creative and help CCP. Reply with a suggested blurb that should replace the current, out of date one. The original is only two short paragraphs, so keep it brief- it is just what pops up in the info box. I'm sure the totally non-biased playerbase Twisted can come up with some...interesting...ideas for this.

Beauracracies even today have trouble quickly updating information on websites.

My government has information still up that's been out of date for 5 years.

Just the result of a big, slow moving machine that takes time to change things.

Plus, this is Amarr we are talking about. By the time they move past their morning prayers and daily self-flagellation, there's not much time left. But no matter, if their God wants it changed, it'll be changed.

As for what it should change to:

We are Amarr. The universe is only 6000 years old. I did the math.

Dracvlad - "...Your intel is free intel, all you do is pay for it..." && "...If you warp on the same path as a cloaked ship, you'll make a bookmark at exactly the same spot as the cloaky camper..."

But monarchies generally don't when it comes to who is the new boss. Monarchies tend to slaughter any potential claimant and punish any loyalists for the former regime, being fairly fanatical in showing support for the new regime.

The Amarr in particular strike me as needing to perpetuate a cult of personality around their royalty. Internally the Amarr are fractured at often work at cross purposes to one another. Gotta keep the masses in line somehow, and puffing up the largely useless monarchy is part and parcel of that. Even in RL countries that cling to having a monarchy, most acknowledge that they are at best a figurehead- and yet they are still central to the identity of those countries and it's still headline news when one takes a dump.

The Amarr are also known for their strict state run media. We're not talking about the Gallente here, probably too hopped up on Quafe Zero and blue pills to even notice such an oversight.
But the Amarr? I think they'd tar and feather the guy who 'forgot' to update the info (at the freaking Imperial capital!!!) as guilty of sedition and a closet Matari sympathizer.
