Going back to when you started Eve, if you knew then, what you know now, what would you do different?

Myself I would have entered 0.0 earlier and would not have spent a ton of skill points on science. Also I would have spent a majority of my ISK on T2 BPO's when the lotttery was still going..

I wouldn't have listened to the people in the 1st player corp I join who told me that I should not leave high sec until I had a certain amount of skills and isk so i wasted my entire 1st year of EVE running lvl 4 missions. I joined Faction warfare on it's 1st day and was living in null 4 months after than and wanted to kick myself for missing out on so much fun and so much wealth.

I would quit and look for other games, exactly as I did 7 years, 1200 euros and a milion words too late.

OTOH, I could be addicted to things far worse than EVE Online...

171 euros a year? You couldve had a drink every week for about the same at a fancy pub Im sure drunk arguing with people would account for the million words.P

Have you heard anything I've said?

You said it's all circling the drain, the whole universe. Right?

I wouldn't have listened to the ****** guy who told me I needed good skills trained up before I could even begin to get trained to PVP.

I would have started training skills. As it was, I was playing for three days before someone asked me what I was training.

"Training", I said, "What the hell is that?"

Not much of a tutorial back then.

EvE would probably be a lot less fun and more frustrating, because doing stuff inefficiently and again if you already know how to play on max is't so much fun. Building up everything again?... nope. EvE is a journey.

Once i was thinking about stuff like that but RL. What if i could go into my past and change something?

Not being fantastic-minded person i decided that i would change nothing really. The reason is simple: all this stuff led to what i'm not and how i live. I can live with it the more the less well.
But what would be result of my changes? Will it make my happier? I don't know.

Maybe i'm already too old but yeah, i decided that whatever happened - happened. My success, my mistakes, my losses. It's all my history.

Talking about EvE: the same is here. I'm ok with me 7 years into the game. I'm not the richest and i'm far from even moderate level of pvp. But i'm here and having fun. So let it be this way.

I would have stopped flying clear of stations to avoid hitting it in warp a lot sooner.

I would have saved those stacks of battleships I got from gun mining rather than dumping them think things like 50m domis/geddons, and 70m ravens.

also could have made a ton of isk at 3-5k isk/lp ratios if I knew how to blitz and abuse standings mechanics

and of course stock up on cheap plex

For my main I would have picked a character name that didn't start with the letter "a." That way I wouldn't be the first person everyone sees in local.

I would not have sold the 6 plex wich i bought for 106 € to the next best buyer for 600 mill isk each and would not have bought a 500 mill isk carrier skill bock that i have never have trained and later sold for quite less money.

I would have bought all the PLEX back when it was under 300m ISK.

I would have placed containers at gates saying "In the near future, Donald Trump will be president of the US", and today I would be hailed as a prophet.

I would not have sunk so much into hisec mining, nor waited so long to go industrialist.
