I don't know if this exist, if it does please let me know :P

However if it does not exist, I think it would be nice to have at least corp chat and alliance chat available via an app on your mobile device. I know Blizzard does this for WoW, and they limit it to PMs and guild chat. Something similar in EvE would be handy, especially for CEOs.

I already use EvE Gate when at work, and it works great for EvE mail, but some cases i would prefer to just type something in corp chat, or send a quick PM.

Anyway, its a simple idea, and one im sure many people have thought of before.

Thoughts?

Our alliance has a strict rule against chatting in alliance. All conversations are held out-of-game. You can use alliance to link things or to X up for invites/etc. That's it.

yeah im aware of the 3rd party stuff i uses Discord a little, but i meant and app for in-game chats.

Sounds like a trash alliance.

When you don't know the difference between there, their, and they're, you come across as being so uneducated that your viewpoint can be safely dismissed. The literate is unlikely to learn much from the illiterate.

I like the idea.

My alliance uses external channels... but I'd like to be able to see and post to corporate chat when I'm not logged in.

CCP is actually already working towards out of game access to chat channels, but it requires them to basically completely replace the existing in-game chat system's underlying framework.

If I recall right it's being done as part of the forum replacement and is going to use part of the software package being used for the new forums or something like that.

On the contrary, I would never choose to leave my alliance unless it changed substantially. We have a great deal of fun, with (mostly) good people and (mostly) good pilots. The alliance leader and other authorative persons are all very fun and competent players. I can't begin to say how beneficial the alliance has been for me, both growing as a player and growing ingame wealth.
