War System Isk Balance? Wardogs vs Yellowrabbits

Well just an idea and scenario

Please poke holes in it, I know its a complicated topic and there are bound to be a 'loop hole' I missed, didnt cover nor accounted for something not working as intented from what how I thought it works.

Objectives

To punish war cowards
To reward war victors
To protect war 'victims'
Define terms of war.

Involved Parties

Wardog - will be our war declaring corproation
Motherhen - will be our declartion shedding allaince
Yellowrabbit - will be our coward corporation.
Bloodwolves, Skyhawks, Twinvipers - are our vultures that hop in during the war wagon.
Mightymouse - will be our victim corporation that bites back.

Plan of action

  • Wardogs desires to attack Yellowrabbits and goes though CONCORD to declare the war.
  • Wardogs must pay the initial War Declarations fee then set how long the war is going to be for which increases costs.
  • If Bloodwolves, Skyhawks, Twinvipers, also declare war on yellowrabbits the costs raises with everyone similar to how it is currenlty.
  • Cost goes up by the week in a linear fasion, for examples sakes we are sticking with arbitary low numbers, week 1 million additional, the second week will be 2 million additional to the first week so 3 million total ect. ect acutal numbers should vary that extending a war as a solo deccer would be very low but a war wagon declaring war would be very cost prohibitve.
  • Wardogs completes application form and pays all fees upfront, Yellowrabbits get a notification of war delcaration, war offically starts in 24hrs.
  • Warfee then creates 'War Fuel." This War Fuel is how much longer the war can go on for and is tied into several monetary values.

  • Plan of counter action

    Yellowrabbits are cowardly and desire not to fight they have a few options.

    Option 1
    Pay Off the War

  • Yellowrabbits pay though Concord to Wardogs the time remaining warfee and ante cost (warfuel fund x2), prevents declaration from wardogs or wardog's masters (allaince) for the duration of the original war period Wardogs earn all 'ante paid for.
  • Alternatively the Yellowrabbits can hole up then pay for the (war fuel) when it becomes affordable to do so.
  • If Bloodwolves, Skyhawks, Twinvipers where to declare ware while Yellowrabbits are immune to Wardogs thier increased cost is much higher than normal and thier ante is reduced.
  • Yellowrabbits gain a discount for paying off Bloodwolves, Skyhawks, and Twinvipers wars in the same period.
  • Bloodwolves, Skyhawks, & Twinvipers receive much less of the ante for dogpiling a burdened victim.
  • Bloodwolves, Skyhawks, Twinvipers and Wardogs can declare war at normal cost after the immunity wears off as normal.
  • First come, first serve.
  • This is only wardeclaration immunity, does not grant immunity to anyone from wardog to continue to kill yellowrabbits under all normal non-war cirumstances applied.
  • Yellow Rabbits can bribe concord and wardogs a bit more and further out thier protection time from Wardog, this addition isnt as expensive as normal cost of the same duration.

  • Option 2
    Run Away

  • Yellowrabbits run to Motherhen Allaince. Motherhen allaince is promted that they should pay off all war fuel fees before yellow rabbits can be accepted for shedding warcosts.
  • Motherhen then can charge for that service from Yellowrabbits.
  • Motherhen may desire a discounting the service as they to gain similar immunites thus driving up the possible cost of being war declared and cheapening thier pay for peace fees and lowering hostile ante attempts.
  • However Wardog can repay the fee at a discout to transfer the war to motherhen, if motherhen doesnt pay off the war entirely.

  • Option 3
    To the winds.

  • Yellowrabbit members quit the corproation, in doing so they must pay thier share of the remainig warfuel. If Wardogs charge 100 days of war and yellowrabbits have 100 members he will be charged one day's worth of warfuel.
  • For every member that quits the warfuel is reduced that much further shortening the war.
  • Wardogs receive full ante' for members running away.
  • Similarly Motherhen's allaince are treated the same for individual members or the corproation members, if motherhens allaince only has 5 corporations the leaving corproation must pay 1/5th of the warfuel.


  • Option 4 hole up

  • Yellowrabbits hole up in thier burrows refusing to pay or run away.
  • Warfuel runs out.
  • Wardogs get nothing
  • Yellow Rabbits only get war dec immunity from wardogs.
  • Bloodwolves, Skyhawks, Twinvipers can declare war as normal, first come first serve.

Plan of Action 2 - Mightymouse

  • Wardogs declare war against Mightymouse.
  • Mightymouse pays thier own war free and makes war mutual.
  • Mightymouse must match duraction cost remaining war fuel but have the option to extend as far as they like with thier wallets.
  • Wardogs start getting thier posteriors bitten off by Mightymouse and surrenders early.
  • Wardogs must pay for BOTH warfuel fees and Mightmouse gets ALL of the fees thus refund of what they paid and all the money wardogs would have had if wardogs won.
  • Wardogs get immunity from Mightymouse declaring war but only with Mightymouse declaring war agaisnt them. Since wardogs initiated a war they are not protected from Bloodwolves, Skyhawks, & Twinvipers delcaring war on them after the ordeal.
  • If Wardogs decides to pay off the warfees of Bloodwolves, Skyhawks, & Twinvipers as they are the victims they will gain normal victim immunity discouraging additional warfees.

  • Final Options

  • War Declaration Immunity Can be elminiated by vote to any corproation.
  • War Declarions can be mutally extended by both parties in the last 24 hours, victim initates and attacker agrees.

    I'm not sure how much of this i grasped in an overall sense and if its caused by poor formatting, description or my tiredness, but theres one key thing that stuck out to me here..

    This is a completely unacceptable mechanism as it would either not work or would force peoples wallets to into the negative (thus creating free money).

    Your mechanism indicates with the way that it would work that this isk would be "forced" out of the player or corp wallet since they'd be "required" to pay it. If people zeroed out their wallets before leaving corp/alliance then either the isk couldn't be paid or it would force wallets into the negative. In the former scenario, the deccers get screwed. In the latter scenario, isk is created from nothing and is open to abuse.

    Additionally, this seems extremely convoluted and i'm not sure if it really solves anything.
