Hi friends,

On behalf of Vydra team, I would like to ask AT staff to postpone flagship submission deadline to 1-2 weeks before AT kickoff instead of 3 weeks after teams were allowed to start the practice.

While we understand that it is hard to adjust game changing balance patches (like T3C and rapid missiles rebalance) in favor of AT, we do not understand why we have to face additional major inconvenience that obliges us to make the flagship decision before properly feel the meta.

Also major part of teams is now training for feeder rounds, where flagships are not allowed, thus it does not make much sense to use those in their practice setups. And then in 2 days after feeder rounds conclude they have to submit the flagship? As for me that doesn't make sense at all.

Dear AT participants, if you agree with our request, please support it ITT.
If you don't agree, would be interesting to read your arguments.

Thanks

The reason that we have moved the flagship submission deadline forwards is to allow us to issue the tournament match schedule earlier than we have in the past. With the way it works technically on the backend, we need to have all of the flagships choices ready to go for the tournament system to authoritatively generate the brackets as we can only add flagships when the tournament is created.

I also agree and don't believe that knowing the schedule that early is really required for the teams involved unless were talking about needing to know asap so it's not within 7 days before matches start.

It's a given most teams that placed top 16 last year will have cleared their schedules through to the last two weekends of the tournament. As for those new to the AT they would be clearing their schedules for the first two weekends and would be more important for those new and in the feeder rounds to have more time with the changes to involve the flagship setups.

I definetely agree, the flagship submission feels way too early this year. Especially considering we don't even know the full details of the upcoming July balance patch and to my knowledge haven't even gotten confirmation on if the potential missile changes will be included in it.

This combined with the rules only having been out for a short amount of time forces captains and theorycrafters to deal with a lot of guesswork on what the best flagship to augment the actual tournament team composition cores will be this year, and frankly just hope they got lucky enough with the upcoming changes that their flagship choice well over a month ago from the start of the AT will be able to keep up with the ever-evolving fleet comp meta, based on a decision made very early into practices, and without full information on upcoming changes.
