Hey, I was wondering if anyone has a decent fit for solo roaming with a broadsword. I know that HICs are meant for fleet fights and not for solo pvp, but I want to give it a try for fun.
I was messing around in pyfa and I came up with 3 different fits, each of them are not as good as I thought. Ugh

1. Standard buffer:

I also have a 100mn ab fit somewhere
Don't know how arty is working on broadsword

I would like to use it mostly in null, using WHs, to catch ratters, miners and pvp ships that I can kill with it
20km scram + web should be enough to control range, but I just can't decide which of these fits would be the best
I was thinking about dual field generators to catch clocky stuff with it or act as mobile drag bubble :)

Let me know what you think and if you have any experience with solo HIC stuff, also any fits would be also good

no experience here with HIC.

2k m/S top speed (not overheat), question: what are you gonna kite?
orthus? no cuz it's faster
cykabal? no cuz it's faster
caracal? emh... it's faster

at this point something like "allahu akbar", 10MN and play with scram and web to gtfo (in this case maybe a faction web would be the case)

dunno... it seems too much slow for me.
also if you drag something that you don't wanna fight then you are stuck with the bubble and low speed until the module's cycle ends... giving the enemy all the time to tackle you...

also i would opt for arty if you choose AB, 650mm probably

Heh

For doing what you suggested, an Orthrus, or hell, Proteus would be way better. Just bring small anchorable bubbles to put on their holes.
All in all, HICs are very tanky, which is nice, but they are very slow and do abysmal DPS. You're also nine times outta ten better off with a buffer fit.

Anywho, that crazy ****** Guplup tried this and failed at solo HIC PVP

BTW completely forget dual large ancillary fit on anything ever, they're worthless and eat all your mids and utility without giving anything particularly amazing in return.
