I use my phone on top of a wooden pillar hotspotted, just outside the window of my mancave facing a field and it barely picks up a signal at all out here in the countryside and it's the finest for eve. People these days with their fancy criteria, I tells ya.

Little if anything. EVE uses about 6 kb/s of bandwidth.

Maybe they should finish rolling out 4g first, the coverage in the UK is atrocious.

Well, I have a very good 4G coverage, in Switzerland, using this and it works wonder for EVE, I can even play more demanding games like ARK without issues.

Good ol' DnD didn't have dial up. You needed actual friends who could all gather in the same physical room.

Eve needs very little bandwidth. I once spent a week on a holiday and during that week I used my 3G cell phone to provide a hot-spot for my laptop. It handled Eve quite nicely .

Even a 2g connection works to play if you have all the files already, but you still need a faster connection to download the updates etc. A missing texture on the wrong gate can mean death while your client waits to download it.

I use my prepay phone from out here in the sahara desert to play eve, but I have to close the launcher after starting because even though I have everything downloaded the eve launcher likes to push something in the background and ive used over 500 MB in a couple of hours. other than that 500MB I get for 2 usd last all week if no updates are done.
