You can't cast everyone in the same shadow over the actions of one person. Besides, people should know better than to pay ransom. Especially a char that old.

That being said, hauling that much loot during a war is just dumb. (Assuming it was during war, I don't know the details of the kill)
He took a gamble hauling high value loot..that gamble did not pay off.

I think he is way past making a fool of himself !

Correct, this just adds to the pile. What got me started was the citadel incident.

VMG was hired by alliance A to defend a citadel against alliance B

alliance B then hired VMG to attack the citadel (conflict of interest)

VMG told alliance A to change its vulnerability timer so they could defend it

VMG killed citadel backstabbing alliance A
