I've been trying to tell my kids of one of the Family's mottos for years: No good deed gets unpunished. Perfect example. At least the domain owner has been offered free hosting site by reddit poster; we can only hope he takes them up on the offer.

To buck the popular trend, I began to Rage Start instead of Rage Quit.

...and every time I get another piece of Carbon, I know exactly what CCP is getting this Christmas.

It's sad that someone put effort into that site only to be treated poorly.

However, I have called for CCP to essentially make Eve Survival obsolete. Adding randomness to spawns, random triggers, etc.
I think Eve Survival hurts the game overall- reducing PvE to little more than a fancy calculator. Removing any of the 'game' from Eve Online. It leads to min/max and blitzing- both of which are not playing a game so much as finding exploits in a game to profit from. I'm not actually sad to see it go.

While I feel bad given the circumstances, eve-survival's only value imo is archival in nature. The site's barely got information in it compared to the likes of eve-inspiracy or eve uni's wiki.

What more do you need?

For missions, maybe, but for other things? It can be missing over half of the existing enounters for each group, such as anomalies.

Well, it's people like you that are causing good helpful sites to shut down.

In this game, Information is King and Conversation is it's Queen.

Basically good pilots will always ask and look for updated Intel after receiving a mission briefing. Hell, I even created and edited quite a few pages in Eve Survival.

I hope somebody picks up ownership and keeps the site active for a long time.
