To better facilitate Planetary Interactions I suggest three types of Compression Facilities.

Small Compression Facility - The Small Compression Facility would compress units into cubes of .05 cubic meters in total volume. The small Compression Facility would take less time to compress units but would take longer to transport to the Orbital Gantry.

Medium Compression Facility - The Medium Compression Facility would compress units into cubes of .10 cubic meters in total volume. The Medium Compression Facility would take longer to compress units but would take half the time to transport to the Orbital Gantry compared to the Small Compression Facility.

Large Compression Facility - The Large Compression Facility would compress compressed units of .05 and .10 into cubes of 100 cubic meters in total volume. It would take 2,000 small .05 units to make a single large compressed unit and 1,000 medium .10 units to make a single large compressed unit. The time to transport to the Orbital Gantry would more less time then a normal launch but would allow for more units to be transported in a single launch at less cost.

The Compression Facility would be part of the Command Center and would cost the same to build as the Launchpad.

...and no there will not be anymore compression of livestock into compressed blocks either. That is just horrible.

When you don't know the difference between there, their, and they're, you come across as being so uneducated that your viewpoint can be safely dismissed. The literate is unlikely to learn much from the illiterate.

Compression would make PI more passive than it already is - not a good idea

It would also make it easier/cheaper to ship PI from nullsec to/from Jita - also not good for the game in my opinion.

I doubt we'll see any changes to PI this year - the devs already have a full plate. When they eventually arrive, expect more active gameplay - not less!

You make the product more accessible and more Capsuleers will venture into PI thus generating more profit for the PI based corporations that manufacture PI based products as well as reducing the cost items on the market as a whole.

So why would anyone go above p1 or p0 if you could just compress 100s of k in m3 into compressed and ship it out in an interceptor.

the "inaccessible" part of PI is the barely functional UI and the insane clickfest that setting it up causes (seriously it took me about 3 days to set up 15 planets because by the time i was done with 5 planets on one character I needed to take a break from the game before i could keep going)
once its set up though, its very easy to set things to 3-4 day cycles and do pickups and drop offs once a week, it takes maybe an hour or two per week.

how much more "hands off" do you really need the process to become. and how would adding even more complexity to an already labyrinthine system make it more accessible?

also while I do think the system needs a massive overhaul, i do hope that at least some level of "passive income' is left, since its really the only one that remains for casual players.
