I think the moral of the story is that no real mercs should have blues. If you would have just stuck to murdering and extortion (from now on referred to as 'THE PLAN') there would have been a large happy and continuous stream of good content for all, but no no, you had to get all squishy squishy with each other. Now look, ouchy feelings everywhere.

You are all to blame.

I've devised a list of corrective actions that will get all things merc back into proper order:

1 - NO BLUES (none, never, nope, nada and so on).
2 - Pick a time and a stationless system.
3 - Everyone with ouchy feelings, that works for/with someone with ouchy feelings, knows someone with ouchy feelings or just wants to help cure these ouchy feelings - meet at the sun in the chosen system at the chosen time.
4 - Work this poop out. Really, fix it. Repeat every day for a week if you have to, but get it all out.
5 - Part as comrades with arms, not blues, not hub humping wanky wankies (whatever the label was)
6 - Don't team up A & B against C & 3 or any of that. Stand alone under your own banner and have at it against all others.
7 - Don't bring neutral logi

That should about cover it.

Wow,this thread just won't quit will it? Props to Mr. King-Griffin for unearthing this, until recently, undiscovered river of pi$$ you've all been tributaries to for the past god knows how long.

I am truly heartened by the amount of passion you put into your chosen niche in eve, and at the same time horrified by the particular niche in which you've chosen to put it. Take a step back and objectively look at the situation. Hisec mercing is a dead mechanic. Watch lists going teats-up killed it. Dead. It has ceased to be. Yet you cling to the notion of its sanctity as if it were life itself. I was in a merc outfit and a damn good one. I made friends there I'll keep even if the servers shut down tomorrow, but I was able to see it for what it was and move on after it died.

What goes on now isn't mercing by a long shot. It's station-gaming, hub-camping, neutral-logi, blanket-dec, sackless, risk-averse, bulls***. It is a sad and emaciated carcass of a once respectable and challenging form of gameplay which CCP flushed years ago. Yet you continue to tear each other to shreds over its bones. The fact that some ill-informed players actually pay for this anymore is mystifying in itself, but that's a story for another time.

The point I'm trying to make is this: take a good long look at what it is you're fighting over. The biggest, baddest, rat in the dumpster is still a rat in a dumpster.

It's not dead. Perhaps for those who choose to sit on their a$$es expecting a game mechanic to find the targets for them, yes. Sure, the watch list thing hurt. It made things ridiculously hard. But kill it? No. We all have our game play styles. I lived in low and null before I was in Devil's..before I met you Lew..and I didn't care for it. I lived in a c3, a c2, and a c5 WH..didn't care much for that either. To me they were similar. 90% of the time it was dreadfully boring..the rest was the $**** hitting the fan. Hardly fun in my opinion. But, to each his own. I don't knock your choice of play style..why do you knock mine?

Commenting on the obvious state of something does not equate to knocking.

Keep in mind Ralph, I flew with you doing the same thing I do now. I'm not sure who you're trying to convince..me or yourself.
