Resource loading stuck causing black screen, lag and poor game play

Is anyone else encountering "Resource loading" that never actually completes. About a 2 months ago the game became laggy and seems very unstable. I've noticed in the bottom left corner resource loading never seems to change; is it meant to? What else could be causing my horrible game play?

You could try avoiding that by setting your launcher to download everything, then restart it?

ok - but what changed? ive not needed to download everything before so why now?

I reinstalled the client and downloaded evrything. and keep geting blackscrean when i get in the station =/

Nothing I'm aware of.

It _may_ be an issue between you and CCP, which is increasing the time involved in downloading the various art assets.

Could be a corruption in the shared cache folder. There is a tool in the launcher to fix that if that is the case.

Launcher > Settings > General tab > Shared cache settings > Verify.

I ended up rebuilding my entire machine.

I reinstalled Eve and set "download all files" in settings, and although not perfect it runs a lot smoother.

It still does flip out on me and crawl along at 5 fps every so often, this didn't use to happen.
