A friend of mine has a bounty on his corp of 20mil. How do they get it off? I have searched a lot online and I can't seem to find any info on how to get it removed. Thank you.

Unless I've missed something in the last couple of months, as far as I'm aware there's only one way to lose a bounty, and that's by getting killed enough that the Bounty pool dries up.

Good Luck!!

EDIT: In any case, I wouldn't worry too much about it. People don't usually get killed just because they have a bounty on them. It's not generally that profitable. Bounties aren't the motive for a kill, just a perk.

Lose 100 million worth of ships. 20% of the value of a loss comes out of a bounty. He is aware that having a bounty does not make him any more of a target than existing game mechanics allowed previously, right?

Everyone in the corp has a 20mil bounty because of it. Does that mean all of them have to die in something worth over 20mil? lol

No. It's a cumulative effect with a corp bounty. Any combination of losses by corp members comes off the corp bounty pool. If one corp member loses a ship the corp bounty and thus the bounty for everyone in that corp will go down by 20% of the value of that member's loss.

Really, bounties don't mean a lot right now. That game mechanic is very broken and doesn't really affect anything. Maybe CCP will put in place a meaningful bounty system at some point. For now, though, not really something that's going to cause you him problems.

In game bounty is like that hair that grows in funny places.
After a certain age its normal and no one particularly cares about it.

More often than not its used to troll newbros.

The type of bounty you should be concernd about is handled informally between players,
And believe me, if you had one you would know all about it.

Don't worry about that crap.

Those bounties just don't work nowadays...

Somebody just did that for fun and trolling or maybe somebody from your corp did something bad and your don't know.

It can be removed by losing assets as posted above. I know that it can be auto canceled after few months like kill rights and money will be returned to person who placed that.

Currently the Game of Bounties are playing pirates and gankers, who want to put that on main traders head - losing a 5 B freighter is big deal. Other doing this in nul-sec - hoping to hunt down a subcapital.

It will go away as your corp members suffer losses in the future.

Nearly all my characters have a bounty.

Even the ones that never undock.

Bounties are completely harmless. Don't worry about them.
