Deleting account

I want to delete my account and via google i found a thread saying that i have to send an email to privacy@ccpgames.com, to ask them to delete the account.
I did that at the 18th of may, sending all data of the accounts involved. I did not even get a confirmation until now.

Did i do something wrong or do i just have to wait ?

I would think a 30 day cool down is normal this way someone wont do a move llike 'hey I paid for 30 days and you owe me a refund' so to make it an easy policy they would do it alpha or otherwise.

OMG!

YOU FORGOT TO SEND ME ALL YOUR STUFF!

Try and log in, send it all, then CCP will be able to delete it faster..; they have to delete ISK per ISK manually :P

Why?

A ticket should be enough and the wait time can vary greatly.

The real question is why one would be such a special snowflake to force others to have to put in effort to deleting your account.

Delete your chars, stop playing. Problem solved.

In my opinion you don't need to delete your account, just write down the account name in a google doc somewhere with the password, click the x in the account selection screen, and forget about the account. If you ever want to go back to it you have it saved in the google doc.

I have done this with all 123 of my accoun-erm, I mean I only have one account I would never had an alt never...

Because characters are a game thing, account is a real life thing that includes ips, real life names, addresses, purchase history, credit card records, etc. It is 100% legitimate to want that info removed from 3rd party servers somewhere.

They won't delete server logs of accounts just the account and characters, deleting the account doesn't magically make everything vanish and they are legally required to keep all transaction details anyway incase of claims of fraud or audits, that data won't get deleted by removing the account

Well, every company answers questions, and if it takes a while, they send a confirmation, so a customer knows that they got his mail.

I got nothing and even here in the forums i get no answer from a sort of community manager(if one exists at all) or something like that.

It's just stupid and incompetent behaviour from a company with many thousands of customers. Btw, do you want to know why they are like that ? Because they can afford to. Because they have dumb followers defending them, even if they are kicking them in their naive asses all day.

And to the weakheads harassing me and calling me snowflake: i already know that EVE has one of the most toxic, ignorant and stupid communities of people opening their dirty mouths against people by every occasion, when they are in real life just hares.
You don't need to proof that to me.
You never will know my reasons why i want my accounts deleted, and they are not your business. I just wanted information about deleting accounts, and what you brought me is harassment, and that shows what you are: useless.

OP posted on a forum, that requires you to have an account to post to, asking if anyone has had experience deleting an account.
Does anyone else see the irony of this?
