Seen this asked about all day, so I figured I'd make a topic for awareness.

Before you do anything, I've been told the bug hunters would appreciate if you sent in a bug report about the issue!

There are three ways you can fix this, depending on how much effort you are willing to go through. In case it was unclear, you only have to do ONE of these.

BEFORE DOING ANY OF THESE STEPS, EXIT YOUR EVE CLIENT
1) Simple:
Reset your settings: http://i.imgur.com/R718pNR.png
OR
Make a new settings profile. See this support page if you are unsure how to make a new settings profile.

2) Medium:
Locate your character's settings profile through the support article above and rename only that one. This saves your account settings at least! An example path would be: %localappdata%\CCP\EVE\c_program_files_eve_online_sharedcache_sisi_singularity\settings_SETTINGSPROFILENAME\core_char_CHARIDGOESHERE.dat
Unsure what your character ID is? It'll be the latest modified file when you exit that character's client.


3) Feeling lucky? This one will retain all your settings, but is a little tricker.
* Locate your character's settings file.
* BACK IT UP.
* Open it in notepad++ or similar.
* CTRL+F for "assets_value"
* Rename the "assets_value" to something else OF THE SAME LENGTH. For instance, "assets_valuu", like so: http://i.imgur.com/6sqlVNd.png
* Save the file
* If when you launch all your settings were reset, you f****d up. Restore from backup and try again.

Tried several times. Each time "f****d up" as you said =)

Character sheet doesn't open with my settings and opens with default ones.

I went to the options page and did "reset to default window positions" and this corrected my character sheet issue.

Yeeeah it's a bit finicky I guess and totally 110% unsupported. In any case, then you'll have to settle with resetting your settings until CCP does a proper fix of the issue. :)

I'm really surprised to hear that, but that's good. The issue seemed to me to be an incorrectly cached net worth value, but maybe this resets that for some reason.

Resetting Default Windows Positions didn't work for me BUT resetting my setting per step one did work. I'm glad that it did so i didn't have to do anything more difficult.
