Where do I go from here?

I have been playing this game off and on for a few years now. Returning from a 3 month break (currenly in Alpha Clone status though).

I am not quite sure where to go, physically in the game right now. As a personal goal I am trying to break the carebear mentality and get involved in the sort of events I read about in non-highsec space.

My main character is fully skilled to fly all sub-capital Minmatar ships (Most with level 4 mastery). I have an alt skilled mostly in mining barges and Planetary Interaction. I've spent time in Red vs Blue, Eve University and running incursions with warp to me (please note, I started my break right before the changes to warfare links were made).

Mission running has gotten pretty boring, and solo mining has always been boring. What remains interesting for me is Industry , Planetary Interaction, Exploration and sometimes group pvp. I have always chosen the support role in group settings. For eve that correlates to preferring flying logistics and EW ships (although I hadn't actually done that yet in incursions).

I want out of high sec. I am hoping for some advice on which type of corp I should be applying to. Wormhole, Sov Null or NPC null?

What are the time commitments typically expected for null sec corps. What are the fee's I should expect for being in a "renter"?

I think I am ultimately looking for a place to go, where I can fulfill my ISK requirements doing PI, and exploration for a few hours on the weekend and participate in corp events (either as a Logi or miner) a couple times a month.

Am I being unrealistic? What are the standard expectations?

Edit:
I cant fly T3 cruisers and destroyers yet.

Faction warfare is ideal for alpha clones. So much fun! Minmatar is the best faction, hands down.

Greetings pilot
So we are based in high sec just a couple of jumps out from nullsec where we operate, this gives us great flexibility to mine and mission in high sec and keep out assets relatively safe while still having access to high isk income in null sec.
We also operate a standing fleet and run very regular PVP fleet operations through nullsec.

We operate a ship doctrine and replacement system to minimise the loss to you should you die, also to keep the fleet in a rapid response format. We also operate large mining fleets multiple times a day.
We have something for everyone.
As for exploration I myself do a lot of exploration ops your very welcome to tag along with.

Hit us up for a chat in our in game recruitment channel "Unbound Recruitment"

I actually really like your post. It is informative and tells me exactly what kind of person you are, what you are looking for, and what you can do, which is very rare. I will say right off the bat that i appreciate it a lot, and I hope you will appreciate the time i take to respond to you point by point rather than taking 2 seconds to spam a mass recruitment message like these other jokers.

I am very cognizant of your position, I myself have had trouble playing consistently, but always end up coming back no matter what after a period of time, This game is hard to play but impossible to leave. And its definitely better out of hisec. It can be hard to break the carebear mentality, I know from experience, so I truly appreciate your honesty.

My Corporation, Quantum Star Conglomerate, as well as the alliance we are executor of, Vukkei Combine, currently lives in the Providence region of nullsec. As you may be aware, it is NRDS, or not red dont shoot, making it a relatively safer area of nullsec than the norm, though it is still lawless and raids or wars are commonplace, so do not assume you are safe just because you can see a neutral and not immediately dock up. We have the long term goal of making a home for ourselves in sov or npc null, without the aid of a nullbloc or renter alliance to simply hand us the keys for a price. we want to take charge and make our dreams a reality without relying on others to provide it for us, as is the norm nowadays for smaller corps. We are currently living in Provi because it provides us with a measure of stability in which to grow our ranks and gather our assets, while still being in nullsec. I will say that it is infinitely better than trying to build our way out of hisec, as it is basically easy mode of nullsec. Don't get me wrong, we have lived in null before, both independently and as renters, but as far as your concerns about not knowing where to start I wanted to make the point that Provi is an excellent middle ground between hisec and true, NBSI (Not blue shoot it) nullsec.

Your interests actually fit in really well with our group. We mainly fly small gang shield fleets, which minmatar ships are more than capable of. We also perform regular mining ops, and have a buyback program for both ore and PI (Seriously, we love people who do PI). We have robust industry, with both an in-alliance construction program that provides ships and assets to our members, as well as capital ship and citadel construction (Hence why we love people who do PI). Your right that mining alone is boring, but mining with friends and beer is less boring, especially when you get to help build the Chimera you mined the materials for and then watch it blow up enemies right in front of you. Makes the whole thing seem worth it. Logistics pilots are always a plus, and in fact I have been planning to experiment with maybe doing group Pve using logistics, as I am also an alpha currently (Albeit one with every possible skill trained already), and want to find a way to rat null sec sites, so i was planning to form a fleet of cruisers with logi and see if we can pull it off, so that could be a fun project you could be a part of.

Point is, we can get you out of hisec, but we wouldnt throw you to the sharks. we are in a good starting ground for transitioning players, and are very friendly and patient when it comes to helping others to learn new things. We also have a lot that you can do with us, and youd have the oppurtunity to progress with us into deep null in the future after you have gotten adjusted. Time requirements are flexible, we do not require you to be on a certain amount or attend a certain number of ops, as long as you are generally active at least a little bit, and that can include communicating on our teamspeak or out of game slack channels just to be social.

I hope I have been able to interest you at least a little. If i have piqued your interest at all, please feel free to look at my generic corp ad, which ill link below, to get some basic info about the corp I may have missed here. You are also more than welcome to contact me, either here or in evemail, with any questions you may have. I sincerely hope to hear from you soon, and I hope to fly with you soon after. Best wishes

Hi, if you're willing to cross train to other races (which is pretty much a necessity in this game) and are willing to make the step to null sec, then we might be right for you. A veteran corp with helpful members who can help you learn the more advanced aspects of the game, as well as providing you with a means of income. Drop by our public channel, if you're willing to pay me this simple courtesy, and we'll talk. It's called The EDF Bar. I'm sure you'll like what you'd hear.

13 years and counting. Eve Defence Force is recruiting.

Stil looking? Consider Artisans of Vulcan.

We are a pretty laid back corporation of miners and industrialists living in a null system with substantial PvE opportunities. We have in-house JF service if needed as well as a local market for most needs.

Our members are EU and US timezone based. We are an English speaking corporation. We utilize MUMBLE in-game and SLACK for out of game communications and socializing.

Drop in (Public Channel "Hammer Taps") or drop me a mail.

Look forward to visiting with you further. o/
