i dont usually use he forum but i wanted to express my ideas to the community and see what you guys think

i really wish ccp would make the inside of stations habitable can you imagine owning a bar in jita or an alliance tavern out in null you could add it onto a citadel as another add on like the market

also it would give commodities a huge skyrocket in price you could own a bar in a station and have actually drinks from spirtes or have a slave run a shop for you while your out killing **** on missions or even own a strip club it would give so much more in depth experience for commodities

sitting in a bar drinking with your friends you would have to have a liquor license which you would train for and have to pay a monthly property tax to that station not only would interacting with other toons inside the station be fun but it would make the pricing of clothes sky rocket a long with the commodities to fuel your in station business
plus it would make it easier for people to make money on lower level missions where destroying certain building gives sprites or other commodities

last i have an idea for a capital ship can you imagine having a super carrier thats you could fit 15 to 20 other ships in you warp with two into a system and people think its just two carriers and they try and tackle them thinking they are alone then boom 40 other ships pop out which all have there own drones it would be like a trojan horse imagine cynoing into an enemy system and them boom an army behind enemy lines there would be so many ways to use this

anyways sorry for my bad grammar and spelling just some of my ideas

Maybe CCP will sell out to EA and we'll get "The Sims in New Eden"Shocked

I'm sorry, I don't mean to quash your idea. That's just the image that popped into my head when you brought up the bars and strip clubs. Don't think it's going to happen though. CCP dipped their toes into the extravehicular activity pool some time ago, and it seems any plans they may have had for those kinds of activities are in a state of perpetually indefinite limbo.

Oh hell, EA killed a BUNCH of 'em. But The Sims is still their flagship in that genre. A lot of folks forget, or maybe weren't around when EA nearly destroyed the PC gaming market, singlehandedly, in the early nineties. They haven't changed much. What?

Pool's closed due to AIDS.

Being more serious though, there is zero reason for immersive chatting ingame. The RPers might like it, but all 5 of them aren't really worth the development time it would take.

Now you could make things more functional by moving things like the market to hubs inside the station, but that would just suck - I play Eve to fly spaceships. Anything that has me outside of a spaceship is detrimental, in my opinion.

Edit:
Regarding your last idea, about the capital, that's called a Cyno beacon, just on a much more juicy bait ship Pirate

In keeping with a more serious response to the idea, and fairly so, let me say that one of my all time favorite games is Mass Effect. Not the most recent one, but the Trilogy. Absolutely spectacular game. Ironically though, while that game has a lot of that roam around the club and meet people/do stuff in the station content, I actually came to Eve online because it provided the things I was missing in Mass Effect. Interacting with other ships and people. Actually having the feeling of being out in dangerous parts of the universe, no scripted AI, no linear progression. I think most folks playing Eve are the same way. If I want to socialize, I go out with my friends, but when I log into my alternate reality here in New Eden, I want to spend my time in space.
There's nothing like Eve. It is the only game on the planet I've seen where the interactive player experience is capable of generating a true fight or flight physiological response. I'm afraid that trying to do too much, i.e. the off ship station stuff, might diminish the overall Eve experience. Just my humble two cents worth.

Respectfully Submitted.

Oh, don't get me started. I could do a dissertation on that subject. But that would just **** people off and I'd get all cranky and stuff. Lol

The Mass Effect trilogy was absolutely fantastic... I nearly cried when I heard EA bought Bioware. Their games were always so absolutely... perfect. SW:KOTOR, Jade Empire, just... wow. The list of successful games they had was as long as my arm.

Took me almost 2 weeks to go back into KOTOR after Bastila was kidnapped, I was crushed.

I enjoyed Kotor too. Been a long time since I played that one. But Mass Effect really raised the bar for the Genre. I got ME2 for free from Origin a few months ago and was blown away. Finished and went on to ME3 which was great too. I lost Mordin and Jack at the end of the second one. Wasn't too big a deal with Jack, but Mordin was a hot-****. What really got me in 3 was that Grunt became my best friend. When he volunteered to hold off an approaching horde while we all EVAC'd to the shuttle, I was SURE he was a dead Krogan. Then just as we make it to the Shuttle, he comes staggering out from the rocks, barely able to stand and losing blood by the gallon, I was just floored. Mass Effect wasn't a game, it was an experience. An amazing one.
Off topic a bit but, yeah ME Trilogy was amazing. I can also say that had I not played Mass Effect, it is more likely than not that I wouldn't be playing Eve today.
