Haven't been able to narrow down any potential causes, seems to happen randomly that when I undock my ship is not visible and the camera doesn't move however the radial (anomaly/structure compass) will rotate as if it is. Only a session change will fix it. Any ideas as to the cause?

Edit: To add now, after todays patch the camera has started zooming way out and resetting focus whenever the tracked target leaves grid. PLS for the love of all that is holy tell me that's not intentional because it soooo visibly jarring and bad my head might explode if someone approved it.

Yep, same thing was happening to me for a while too. Very frustrating. It also seemed to occur more frequently in systems with a lot of folks in them. Coming out of the trade hubs in Dodixie or Amarr almost always resulted in this behavior, while in lesser occupied systems the problem was more hit or miss, with no real rhyme or reason for it. This was all prior to the most recent patch, and was something I noticed happening after the patch in April went live. The fix was simple. Updating the GPU drivers solved the problem for me. I've not experienced this behavior since. For the record, this is with an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 in a relatively high end, 4 month old system. YMMV.

Hope that helps a little.

Using a radeon R9 390 with the most current drivers available. It happens to me in any given system. I spend most of my time in lowsec and it happens even if I'm the only ship in system.

Was in a fight last night and when my pod was violently removed from my ship the bug happened with the pod. Couldnt see the pod or rotate camera.

I had that behavior too. The only thing I can say for certain is that updating my GPU drivers fixed the problem for me. Now I've been an Nvidia guy for a couple of decades now, so I haven't followed the AMD offerings too closely. However, as I recall, and I could be wrong as I'm going off the top of my head here, the 390 series cards are actually dressed up re-released 290's, from about 2012 so it's conceivable that AMD just isn't keeping the drivers up to date as fast as Nvidia updates theirs. I remember that being an issue years ago too. If the driver you're using is the most current and this issue is persistent, you might want to try rolling back to a known previous stable driver to see if that resolves the problem. You could also contact AMD and see where they are with new drivers, but my experience with them in the past suggests you won't get a lot of satisfaction going that route.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help. I hope you get the problem resolved.
All the Best!!

If memory serves me this happened once before quite a long time ago when the new camera was in its infancy and was subsequently "fixed."

Yeah, having the same camera reset problem here too. Seems like it just bucks out to like 100km after something leaves grid or dies.

Bump again, this bug is getting incredibly annoying. (both of them) Camera is just plain broke, and some nights the invisible ship doesn't happen at all and others it just keeps happening over and over and over again.

When this happens, does spamming ALT+1 and ALT+2 a few times fix it? (Those would be the hotkeys for changing between Tactical and Orbital camera respectively, in case you've remapped them)

And I do mean spam them a few times, not just click each once. It won't fix your ship being invisible, but it *should* at least make your camera functional.

No effect. View changes slightly between modes but never allows controlled movement. First person view also doesnt display the hud properly. Looks kinda like the graphics ate there but are being viewed from the edge. Bug report submitted and others have seem it as well but some sort of dev response for either of these issues would be nice.

Cleared all caches and verified files and bug still persists. Logged on this morning and 3 times had to redock to get camera working.
